HB update just before the Ban?

Has anyone asked the question as to what exactly was in the update on the day of the ban?
My toon was running all night camping the voidtalon, I turned off HB in the morning and went to work. I got to work and logged onto my home comp via Team Viewer from my desk and started up the game again and loaded up HB. As soon as I load up HB there is a quick update for it (nothing big at all as it only took a few seconds). I load my profile to resume the camp again and then get on with my work for the day. 3 hours later on my lunch break I flip Team Viewer back on to check the bot's progress and BAMM, my account has been logged out and I have a email from blizzard. The same one we all got.
My brother in-law had pretty much the exact same thing happen to him but only after switching toons, shutting down and reloading HB and getting the small Update, and moving on to other profiles for the day.

I'm not saying we were given up or anything.... But it just seemed odd.
I know if I had some major company on me for millions of dollars and they said "Well here is what we will be able to do for you if you can give us X amount of accounts". I might do something similar to save my business and keep my employees employed for a little while longer.

There is no facts based on this post. This is only really asking the question "have you asked yourself this question"

terribly sorry old chap but the HB team did this deliberately. They hate people paying money for their product. I mean same as K-mart or Wall-Mart hate customers.

People already paid for it so they already got the money. Is the Bossland team selling the keys anymore for the product? Is the product working? This site still sells plenty of other bots, so they dont need this bot or this game. I did read somewhere that the lawsuit was dropped or the case was closed. No actual word on what the outcome was for Honorbuddy or who's favor the case was in. You really dont think its possible that Blizzard could offer some line of code to be added so that a large chuck of the botting community would be removed from the game in exchange for the lawsuit to go away? I mean... they put Glider out of business completely.
They added the wow token, I can bot for 2 days on a single toon and get enough gold to buy a token and play for free for a month. I can do this every month just like everyone here could. Blizzard wants people to play to pay. this entire ban was based around the introduction of the WoW token.

I just asked what was added to bot code that morning or the night before in the last update. Why did so many of us get the boot at once. When people playing on EU servers have asked Blizzard for proof like is required by law they have none to show them (from what I've read on here).

Yes it's possible. Even fathomable. Of course we all would never like to entertain the idea that it would be done, that's human nature. Denial however is pure immaturity and ignorance.

It's a shame HB and blizzard both could benefit from this - much moreso the latter however. It didn't really cross my mind as it is a stretch - that being said, the HB team being a bit more transparent would go a loooong way to stop these sorts of posts.

Realistically they probably shit their pants just as much as we did. More even.

Of course it is most likely related to balance of economy, and not how much time you spend grinding tokens. It doesn't matter to them what you do to get the gold as long as it's legit, because the gold you pay for a token is converted into 20 euro when they would otherwise get 10-15 euro per month. Botters do have an effect on WoW token price, but that is by causing inflation in token prices unless the demand for Real Money Tokens keeps track (something several people question but something we don't know). If volume is high on both sides of token trade, what we're doing is creating cash flow for Blizzard. If Real money token sales is lower than gold supply, we get a massive inflation and Blizzard would have to give players a lot more gold per token, which translates into less playtime. Also, it means that regular players without a way of buying tokens for money, wouldn't even be able to buy the tokens for in-game gold, as they'd become too expensive. They need to keep this balanced as to not offend the players who can't or won't buy gold.

So - this is just a covert way of going P2W without alienating the current business model that is subscription based. It's clear that since subscription numbers are dropping, Blizzard wants to take out more money from existing customers instead, since they can no longer grow. I could write an essay on how this influence the economy and whatnot, but you're totally off track here.

You just fail to read what people have already posted. People got banned without botting after that update, and didn't get banned even if they didn't bot for several weeks before the ban date. Personally I had a trash account suspended for 6 months without even applying the patch. I never apply patches straight away, unless it's required. I'll rather wait a few days, just in case.

You don't know what they have. My suspicion is that the proof is shaky and they don't want to give it away because they still rely on that method of detection. They are basically buying time until they eventually are forced to give out that information.

That theory is already dismissed by actual proof from quite a lot of people, including myself. I'm not the kind of person who doesn't look into explaining things, but this is flat out youtube material.

This does only make sense if Bossland had lost legally in all possible ways, and wanted to strike a deal to not be put out of business and save some money from a sinking ship. Do you have any indications of this?

Secondly, Bossland is already more open about stuff than what is probably even wise. This forum is even open to everyone. They have a business to protect, security to take care of. They would never reveal details that are both irrelevant for their product and which would render them more vulnerable.

Edit: Even I am accused of being a conspiracy guy by Frosticious, but in fact I am pretty sceptical to anyone's motives and I neither buy into undocumented shit, nor attempts to simplify something. I took the time to explain to you why I think your assertion is completely wrong, as for this misconception to not expand.
