HB Team, time to redesign the forum?

Hey HB Team!

I'm one of the users who check the forums several times every day and after doing this for almost 2 years and it feels like my second home
But one thing that makes me frustrated is the whole forum design. Today it feels like everything is a big mess with threads on wrong sections, posts which been answered 10000times (example Session Invalid) and some other stuff.

I think it's time for some redesign of the forum on some parts:

1. Separate all the bots to different forums (One for HB, one for Tankleader etc...and I mean totally different sections, not like it is today). It feels very messy atm with 2 different bots on same forum (I'm thinking of the "Latest Posts"-section)...and this is something that is growing (SWTOR bot, diablo bot coming up etc)...which will make the "Latest Posts" even more messy and people will write stuff in wrong threads because they won't see the difference between a HB,SWTOR,D3,TL thread.

2. Create some space on top of the mainpage for "Announcements" so you can post critical things about the bots which needs a users attention..this way you will avoid many new threads with same issue.
Maybe even put out "New release" there so ppl can see it.


I had so much more to come up with but I forgot most of it but these 2 things feels like a big issue atm.

Like the idea, but for two:

is the Yellow thing on the top of the forum not fitting?

Sure there isnt much in there most of the time, but it is pretty much what you want right?

there will be changes coming soon, but we're in the middle of getting buddywing for a release, and waiting on D3 and more information on MoP to drop, but when Rift came out we tried doing completely separate spaces, but all that did was divide up our moderators attention, and doubled the amount of work needed to keep the forum up to date and secure. we're not sure what we're going to do yet, but chances are we are going to keep the separate sections like they are now and clean up the wow section and reorganize it. but really its up to people to post in the correct sections.

Ok sounds cool. But I really thing you need to create some space on top of the forum so ppl's eyes get that attention first for critical issues. Or maybe create a "Shoutbox" like (x22cheats.com forum). This way you will minimize bad threads and ppl will get answers faster.

Just delete the tapatalk you currently have set up. Do a new search for honor buddy and log back in. Worked for me, I had the same problems . Hope this helps

Have a look at ownedcore on how you can 'divide' the forums without actually making separate ones (and thus not dividing your mods).

I like the tabbed forums there, each game or category on it's own tabs.
Relevant to what info I'm after and a good overview.

Might also get rid of the statistics block at the top.
As much as you might like the idea of having the last xx new posts there, it's pretty useless since all latest forum posts are there (not only HB related, but the rest as well in all languages).
When I visit I target specific area's of the forums, and not the read all latest posts (generally I hit a few class forums, a profile forum and sometimes the plugin forum).

Don't know if there's some way to 'create' your own startpage with vB where you can put those forums in there that you are interested in (personalize the experience).
Also as someone suggested above, make a single part with the most important stuff like new releases, but keep the rest clean (and loads to a minimum).
