wow needs to be running in 32bit mode.
to do this watch this video. it covers every possible way to get wow to start in 32 bit mode.

after wow is started in 32bit mode, get fully logged in and in game, then start honorbuddy by right clicking "honorbuddy.exe" and clicking "Run as Administrator"

I have the exact same problem, did everything above and still same problem. If i launch trough honorbuddy.launcher it work well, but everytime i change character i need to re-open WoW with the hb.launcher, so annoying.

if you followed the instructions correctly and started it in 32bit mode, you do not need to use the launcher.
