HB stuck on Taskbar

Whenever I start up HB, it immediately minimizes directly to my taskbar. From their I cant do anything except press start, stop or exit on the taskbar. In other words, If I wanted to do anything else, such as grind, Im stuck on the PvP bot portion. I cant even change profiles. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Sls4009,

I've never heard anything like this. I'd try the following:

Right click on your Honorbuddy icon -> Shortcut tab -> Run should say "Normal Window", not "Minimized"
If you launch your Honorbuddy outside of a shortcut, there is an equivalent setting for non-shortcuts.​

If this doesn't solve your problem, you'll need to post your log and let us have a look.

What was the result of what you observed on the Shortcut tab?

Something else to try...
Move Honorbuddy off your Desktop into someplace like C:/Games/Honorbuddy. Make certain the path you move it to contains no spaces or periods in the path, either. Some explanation as to why, here.

I am also a little unclear on exactly what you're observing. Honorbuddy usually minimizes to the Windoze Notification area. You should be able to click on the icon down there to re-open it and get access to the window. Can you be a little more clear on exactly what you see? If not, you'll need to get with Bambam922 or Tony using the Honorbuddy Service.

As soon as I start HB, it minimizes directly to the Windows Notification area. Usually not a problem, but it doesnt allow me to repoen it to change any of the different bot settings or profiles. When I click on the notification area, nothing happens. If I right click, I can only select start, stop, and exit. If I select start, it just chooses the last program that was run.

Thanks so much for the restate--I get wrapped around the axle occasionally.

Couple of more things to try:

• Usually, Notification icons require a single left-click--try a double- or triple-left click and see if that will open the window
• The Honorbuddy window may somehow have moved off the screen.
  This happens for some people occasionally. The easiest thing to do is shut down Honorbuddy, and delete the HB/Settings directory. Honorbuddy should choose sane defaults when it puts the Settings directory back.

First off, I want to thank both of you for the very quick response. After I deleted the HB/settings directory it started working perfectly. Thanks for the help once again.

what he says is true and this is for all users, it minimizes to the icons bar on the bottom right.
in the icons bar... if you click the arrorw by the time and double click the honorbuddy icon. it opens up.
so you should be able to use it ect.
