HB stuck at "checking buddy store"

It logs in and then stops with the message "checking buddy store. This may take a while". It never continues. Same on three different computers (win 7 and win 8). Was working just fine an hour ago.

^^ The problem looks to be with the free trial of the "YOU SHALL NOT CAST - The ultimate Interruptor", which I had just signed up to try. When I disabled that plug-in HB logged thru the store as normal.
