HB not working. "not valid insstance"

so loged into HB and wow and all that good stuff and HB says this "You have not selected a valid instance of WoW to attach to!
Please restart Honorbuddy and choose a valid instance of WoW to use Honorbuddy with!"
and the drop down menu is grayed out along with the load profile button and all the rest. help me please...

make sure you are on the latest Hb version and then follow this guide
