HB Support Team,

As always, first, thank you for a quality product and continued support!

My issue is simply stated in the title. Honorbuddy is working great when loaded from the launcher or HBRelog. However, when loading just the honorbuddy.exe it will not load. There is not even a log generated, just...

I was hoping it was a simple issue on my part, as it just started happening in the past 2-3 days. However, I've spent over an hour trying to fix it now with no luck.

These are the following things I have tried.
*Disabled all streaming products
*Removed all plugins and downloaded botbases
*Removed settings and downloaded profiles
*Redownloaded a fresh Honorbuddy
*Searched forums for similar issues
*Ensure honorbuddy.exe is ran as admin and attempt to attach to a wow 32bit client
*Updated video card drivers

I try to keep my support questions to the developer forum related to the profiles/plugins I write. Sorry, I give, I need help! Thanks again!

Thanks for the link, but unfortunately as above, there is no log generated. If you look at my history or loaded files, please note I have uploaded plenty of logs in the past. It takes very little time and I understand how beneficial a log is, but there simply isn't one to provide.

Furthermore, I take posting in the support thread very seriously and wouldn't do anything to slow the process. I am only posting now after spending a considerable chunk of time trying for a resolution.

Thanks again for your time.

according to your first post there is a log file generated tho

I see how that is confusing in my post above. Apologies.

There is no log, but honorbuddy displays the above suggesting it is going to login and start the log. It doesn't start and it doesn't start logging.

clear your log folder, start honorbuddy. and make sure theres no log being created. as from what you posted there should be a log.

Thank you very much! As above I had tried completely re-installing HB, but had not tried checking for the log on the completely new HB. So I did like you said, and on the fresh version a log was generated with my attempts. They read...

Please don't shoot me! Restarting my PC fixed it.

My PC is a $3000 beast and I rarely reboot. My humblest apologies.

I am enough of a techy to have at least rebooted! I am a complete moron sometimes. I am sorry for wasting your time.... And moreover Thank you so much!

remove:

- microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable
- microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable

restart your pc,
download the installationwizard https://www.thebuddyforum.com/attach...uddywizard-zip
run them as administrator.
after wizard installation is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
restart

I wanted to add something here, hopefully it helps some else.

I am having a lot of bsod and connectivity issues that are not related to HonorBuddy. However, I continually get this issue in the OP. The solution for me is to delete the settings folder for the character that is not allowing HB to attach.

Located Honorbuddy\Settings\SERVER\CHARACTERNAME

The other solutions above will help for the vast majority of other people too.

Thanks again!
