HB good for economy?

Hi. I used to play a game called Lineage 2 for over 10+ years ago. I eventually started botting since the xp grind was insane. However, one of the concequences from ubi-soft banning alot of bots was that the marked for materials literally collapsed. The prices went through the roof since none of the farmers were selling materials at that given point.
The point of my post is, doesn't it make sense to actually have a base of farmers in an MMORPG? I is more convenient for the righteous players. Because honestly, who in their right mind is going to farm felblight 10 hours straight to sell on the AH? Who is going to fish manually to sell on the AH?

Just a thought...
 
I wouldn't say it's "good" for the economy but HB and other bots have become a necessary component of it for the reasons you stated. Cheap botted items keep greed in check and Blizzard has unconsciously shaped material requirements around there being bots around. The economy goes off the rails after a banwave and arguably doesn't really recover until the bots start coming back.
 
I agree with you Vulture051.... I watch on my main account and AH prices have literally jumped 500% or more. Normal people dont do the grind like we do and since we cant do what we enjoy as a hobby normal players end up having to find a way to grind gold to get things they need in game.

So what do people need these days? I'm doing around a 100 felblight a day @ 90-95 on the AH, +2-3K in trash loot and about 1000 hides or so but they go for 1g a pop.
I there any stuff I should be selling thats really good? Although I am content with 12-13K a day I am greedy too.... :)

I usually sell 120 Felblight a day in stacks of 15 via two bank toons. That seems about as much as I can post at the price I want without flooding the market. Hexweave Bags are good for 2-4 sales a day at 1k gold each if I list them two in the morning and two in the evening. Anymore than that and the other bot farmers will start the undercutting game. The last two weeks have been great for Potions of Luck and Treasure Finding on my server since I think the last banwave took out the two guys controlling the potion market. Both potions are selling for 200% more gold each than they were a month ago. Cooked food is the same way most days and I can now sell a lot more on Tuesday nights to the raiders. Ores and Herbs were up in price for a couple of weeks, but most of the botters on my server that got hit in the last banwave must be back in action since the level of supply at the AH is back to normal along with the prices. Might want to check any of those markets if you are not in them already.
