as i said, i run it, login to it using my key, it asks me to send anonymous data (if it is first run), then waits, closes itself. that is it.

i tried installer version, i tried buddy wizard, i tried zip version and lastly tried to run the game in dx9. nothing worked. game is set to windowed.

p.s. whole account is a new one. including 1 character and he is boosted by wod lvl 90 boost.

edit: windows 10 64bit, kaspersky is turned off, teamviewer is closed. no other "interfering" application from the official list.

Hi, Ares0027, and thanks for the logs.

The BuddyWizard is outdated, and should no longer be used. (In fact, the thread has been retired.)

I know you've said you've tried these things. But this is the troubleshooting tree for this problem...

Let's try switch the WoWclient from DX11 to DX9, and restart the WoWclient. More info here:

If no joy, let's try a clean install by using the Honorbuddy installer, not the zip file. More info here:

If still no joy, a fresh log from the clean install in DX9 mode, please.

cheers,
chinajade

nope, nothing. it is all same. like i said it was set to dx9 anyway (but i made sure it is dx9 anyways) uninstalled hb, installed it to a different folder as admin, launched, accepted usage information and same thing happened.

attached the new/clean install log

Hi again, Ares0027, and thanks for the fresh log and your thoroughness.

At this point, the problem is an interfering program. We know you said you checked this, but its all that's left. These articles will walk you through the usual suspects:

A couple of things to keep in mind...

  • Sometimes programs must be uninstalled, not simply 'disabled'.
Many of the interfering programs hook the OS, or run background daemons, that will cause interference even when they are disabled.

  • You may have an interfering program that is not on our list.
The list contains popular programs that we have confirmed to interfere with Honorbuddy. There are literally tens of thousands of programs a user can install, and you may have a troublemaker program that is not on our list. If you find a new one, please let us know.

cheers,
chinajade
