HB 1.247 Crashing

Ok here we go again Honor Buddy 1.247 is crashing every time
it kills either a plainstrider or an Adult Planestrider (Level 7 mob)

I am using the 1-60 profile located at
http://www.buddyforum.de/showthread.php?46-Horde-1-60-by-bliik

And for my CC I am using likWarrior v0.5.5
since I am a warrior.

The error that it keeps giving me once it kills one of these mobs is
"Object Reference not set to an instance of an object"
Then HB just crashes and it does it every time. I rebooted the machine and reloaded the game and restarted HB again and it went
back after the same mob again and it did the same thing again.

A screen shot of this has also been attached bellow
http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/6868/hbcrash1.jpg

9:58:33 PM:93] Combat Exception
[9:58:33 PM:656] Object reference not set to an instance of an object. - From: cct_wylt

That is the error that I get in the Debug tab
of HB when this occurs.

This machine is an HP DX5150 AMD. Running Windows XP Pro (64 bit)
64 bit with 1.5 G of ram. And yes I am running this as the
administrator it has FULL administrative privileges!

I also saw this error in my log as well about the Auction plugin
saying that it could not be compiled.

[8:40:59 PM:0] Plugin in folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Buddy\HB\Plugins\Auction could not be compiled! Compiler errors:
[8:40:59 PM:0] File: Line: 0 Error: No inputs specified

You will probably want to look into this as well. I don't think it is causing
HB to crash though when I am killing that mob. I think that is just
another unrelated error.

Can you please fix these problems with the bot and release
a new version!

I have attached my logs along with this post.

Jamie

EDIT: Ok I am starting to figure this out on my own a bit it looks like it is something with the CC that comes
with the release is buggy.

I ran it again and saw this come up in my log which is
telling me that the CC I am using is buggy

[9:58:33 PM:93] Combat Exception
[9:58:33 PM:656] Object reference not set to an instance of an object. - From: cct_wylt at Styx.Bot.CustomClasses.Warrior.CombatCheck() in c:\Program Files (x86)\Buddy\HB\CustomClasses\Warrior.cs:line 1427
at Styx.Bot.CustomClasses.Warrior.BattleCombat() in c:\Program Files (x86)\Buddy\HB\CustomClasses\Warrior.cs:line 1203
at Styx.Bot.CustomClasses.Warrior.Combat() in c:\Program Files (x86)\Buddy\HB\CustomClasses\Warrior.cs:line 325
at (Object )
at Styx.Logic.Common.Combat.CustomCombat.CustomCombat.Combat()

I was using the default CC that came with the bot and obviously it is buggy because it keeps crashing the bot.

Ok so I went and updated my CC for the warrior to latest version at

http://www.buddyforum.de/showthread.php?418-likWarrior-CC-by-likwid818

http://www.buddyforum.de/attachment.php?attachmentid=275&d=1263980759

It still crashed after updating the CC so that isn't going to be the fix for this problem!

I give up I am deleting my warrior and creating another character that has a working CC I only have this problem
with the warrior! I don't have time to keep troubleshooting this!
'
Ok so I deleted the warrior and created a Druid and
I killed the level 1 plainstrider and I got the exact same error so this is not a CC issue but an actual issue with the HB itself.

Now HB is crashing with my druid. With the exact same error! This is maddening! what the hell
why is this bot so damn unstable!

Please fix this!!!!!!!

Starting to think that this has something to with this machine being 64 bit. Because I have Windows XP Pro
on another machine that is running 32 bit and the bot is running fine.

So why is your program choking on Windows XP 64 bit?

I use Win 7 64 and i run 3 GBs and 2 HBs perfectly fine.

Try this:

Delete HB folder completely
Redownload the latest, extract to your computer
Get the meshes you need
Run HB, set it up but do NOT use any plugins.
And see what happens. Try a hunter cause I know they work for sure lol.

Well you know what that does NOT work Neal121 I have deleted the HB folder completely!
I have tried all that LONG before I posted that here I am not some noob.

I have extracted the latest version did you not read my orginal posts?

Everything you are telling me to do I have already DONE!

It only happens on the X64 machine NOT the 32 bit machine.

I have even gone now as far as updating the 64 bit machine to Windows 7
and I get the same error again! The whole partition was removed and
it was a FRESH install of Windows 7 on the 2nd machine.

It is Windows 7 Ultimate. And I get the EXACT SAME ERROR!

This only seems to occur on the Windows machine that is 64 bit. The 32 bit
version of Windows XP is working fine.

So this is NOT an issue with the machine or the program but the software
running on x64. I have tried two operating systems now and I get the
same error now on Windows 7 as I did when I was running Windows XP Pro 64
bit.

This is an issue with the PROGRAM that needs to be fixed.

The program works on the 32 bit version of Windows XP which is a seprate machine and I take the EXACT same zip file and transfer it over to my x64 bit machine and it craps out constantly but I am sitting here watching the 32 bit version of Windows XP Pro working perfectly. This has to be a x64 bit issue it is the only thing I can think of. Because I have now tried 2 different operating systems both CLEAN installs and I get identical error on BOTH OSes on this x64 bit machine!

Ok so I took this one step further I looked up the error
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

http://forums.aspfree.com/net-devel...t-reference-not-set-to-an-instance-45799.html

Ok.. so I tried this as well...

Darkshado - its most likely a .Net error. Can you reinstall the .Net 3.5 Framework please?

Hawker I have done that.. in fact I have gone back to Windows XP 64 bit again since I did not like
Windows 7 it is garbage. so I have reformatted the machine again and reinstalled .NET 3.5

It did not fix the problem so reinstalling this is not the solution

Everything I am seeing in reference to this error is related
to the code.

Delete the logs folder, run hb again and post the new log here. No need to delete the entire hb folder, just the logs subfolder.

Ok and here is the most recent logs I deleted the logs and this is the most recent
log I just ran HB again and it crashed so this will show you exactly what is
going on.

Try delete the Auction folder in the root folder of hb, the Auction folder i the plugins folder and eAH.dll in the plugins folder

I don't know if the two errors are related. Because I went back to an older version
of 1.242 and it didn't work on the 64 bit machine either but it works fine on
the Windows XP pro 32 bit machine.

I don't know what the problem is with the Windows XP Pro 64 bit machine
and why I keep getting that error.

So I don't know if it is Auction plugin that is doing it or not. I don't think the two errors
are related at this time. I think they are two separate errors that I am getting.

Because the 1.242 version doesn't have the auction active and I still got the
same error.

Is WoW crashing or just HB?

Ok Skinning is disabled and it still crashed with the same error
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

It is doing something after it kills the mob.. So I disabled
the options Loot Mob and Loot Chests and then it doesn't
crash.. so it has something to do with looting the mobs after
it is dead!

Ok so we have it limited down now to what it is.. now the question is
why is it crapping out when it is looting the mobs?

Yep that is definitely it. I re-enable the loot mob option and
it crashes.

[4:05:31 PM:703] Platform: Microsoft Windows NT 5.2.3790 Service Pack 1

this might be irrelevent... but:
Darkshadow what windows is that?

ya it is a private server but that shouldn't matter it is a Blizlike server.

And no the wow client is not crashing just HB

Also I have a 2nd character playing on the same private server on my Windows XP
32 bit machine and it doesn't crash.

so why would the 64 bit version of Windows XP pro crash and the 32 bit version
of Windows XP pro works fine all on the same server..

Ya so it hasn't been patched up to SP3 yet but that wouldn't cause it to crash
every time it tries to loot an item.

This machine is a Windows XP Pro 64 bit machine that you are seeing the logs
from.

i had the prob (looting) on hb when when i ran an emu server while i was trying to mesh... not a big deal to me as there is no gain for me to loot gold on an emu server when i can just .cheat gold xxx my way into gold :P

ya well the server I am on is a blizzlike server so there is no .cheat so I have to earn my gold.
Also it works fine on the Win XP 32 bit machine on the same server but not the x64
the x64 is the one giving me a hard time and is crashing all the time.

Ok here is what I did i run this on my 32 bit machine and it crashed now as well
running with this same character when it goes to loot what the heck is going on.
Now both the 32 bit and 64 bit of Windows XP pro is crashing when it goes to loot

All it is looting is just garbage standard drops that you would get off of the
mobs like you would in retail. It isn't like they are doing custom drops or anything
it is just standard JUNK that you would get off the mobs.

So why the heck is this crashing when it goes to loot the mobs?

The wow binary your server uses is different from the binary used on retail. We don't support private servers.
