Having some difficulties (HB)

Okay, so the problem is no matter what I seem to do, when I start the HB up, it always fails at authorization.

This is the case with or without doing the .net utilities, and it has been the same on vista 64 and windows 7.

Any ideas on pointing me in the right direction? I am almost positive that this is strictly user error.

Okay, then i have some follow up questions:

Under my account management details, I can see my invoice where I added HB RaF to my cart, and where the payment was accepted and verified.
Should I see anything under the "active services" tab or any of the other tabs that are available?

Yes, it does indeed let me log in there.

Its either a sync issue between HB and the website (I doubt it though, I think HB just goes to that same website), or a firewall issue. Can you try disabling any software or hardware firewalls you may have in place and test it?

Thanks for the prompt reply, Ski.

I just disabled windows firewall (Running Windows 7 64) and tried again. Alas, to no avail. UAC has also been disabled, as I know that alot of things dont ever run right if it is left to do its own bidding.

I am going to try and use the "free" HonorBuddy right now and see if it will let me use at least that much.
Will post back with more info as soon as I know.

As an update, it does indeed let me load the program using login: test password: t3st. Safe to assume that nonfunctionality is not on my end of it, i suppose.

I sent an email earlier in the night to support, but as it was the wee hours of the morning on the other end, I guess I will be waiting until morning. :)

auth bad=bad spelling of user or pass or both
check your caps(case sensitive)

Alright, I got it figured out. Tony's post got me thinking. I knew that I didnt have my caps lock on, and I knew that everything i was typing was right. But I did not know for sure if the client would read all of the characters that I was putting in. Apparently one can not have characters such as "@*&$%@" in their passwords or authentication will fail.

Thanks for all your help guys. I hope the above info helps someone out in the future. :)
