I am coming back to D3, taking a break from WoW, and noticed that there was a pretty rough period of seasonal bans going on earlier this year, and prior. I'm aware of the risks, so we can skip that part, but what I am wondering is what is/was triggering the bans? Was DemonBuddy detected? Or are accounts being flagged for certain activity?

The reason why I ask is I don't care to bot (in D3), in the sense it's going to move for me and start/stop games. I merely want the bot to control cool-downs logically for me. I've been using my mouse/keyboard to repeat/toggle things, but meh.. it's finicky, and I have to update them constantly for different characters, etc. I actually do enjoy the game, unlike most.

By just using a combat routine to control my skills, is that changing the likelihood of detection? I know its taking a risk regardless, but I'd rather put a quarter size target on my back, then have my entire back be a target.

Hey Dakkah. Long time WoW botter, 75% of the time using strictly only a combat routine. I am also wondering the same thing as you but I haven't been able to navigate these DB forums as easy as the HB forums. I think its because theres a lot less activity over here for DB but I'm still looking. I'll post again if I find anything good but I'm also getting into this thread so I can see if any answers come up here as well.

A lot of people will say its just as bad, but having never been banned in WoW and friends have been banned, I disagree naturally. :+)

Thanks for the response kaufs-

No one has any input at all? The demonbuddy community sure has died off...
