We have seen a lot of 72h suspensions and a few permabans lately which is rather concerning. Is HB detected? Some say yes but most people say no, it would be evident that HB is detected simply by the flood of ban topics on this very forum section but what if blizzard are detecting HB and sending out the suspensions slowly? Not possible but believe me, if blizzard did detect HB they wouldn't give you a second chance by "suspending" you for 3 days, no they would simply close your account and be done with it.
Now where the hell did those bans come out from? Well the simple answer is - player reports! Player reports that we're sent to blizzard take ages to be realized and for blizz to take action, you might think you were never reported, but not every player report is followed by:"OMg bot I reportz you!!11!oneone", yes I do agree that the average WoW player's IQ is similar to a lima bean but not everyone informs you when they have filed a bot report against you.
Another theory is that blizzard monitors how many mobs you kill per day, get real there are 11 million people playing WoW (if that's still true) don't you think blizz has better things to do than monitor 11 million people to see their activities ingame so they can ban a handfull of people that use bots. Now I'm not denying that they CAN monitor your daily activities but they only do this if you have been reported and in need of more proof they simply monitor your kills/day and if they much more than the usual then they can ban you. Now I personally don't support this theory simply because the fact that you can be farming some rare drop or you can be leveling up by grinding in a certain spot.
There is even a theory that Hawker brought up that you get banned if you are putting up no auctions, this is, well, kinda untrue as I never posted auctions while I boted and I haven't recieved any bans plus the fact that a crapload of players don't post anything on the AH while leveling their alts.
Hope I helped and please don't flame me I just wanted to express my view on the current situation, do feel free to discuss it tho!
P.S. Kinda forgot the question mark in thread title, how iliterate
P.P.S. Sorry for the bad english!
