Has anyone had success in appealing a ban?

I got banned 6+months ago, for botting ore. I wrote a professional appeal, that I was sorry for what I had done. And i knew i was responsible for the account. Real good written!!! And the get lucky u get a nice GM!

I had ran HB to level 1-90 and was doing way to long of botting sessions and after 90 I used gatherbuddy with random buddy and received a ban shortly after.
Pretty sure ban was caused by player reports.
In my appeal, I admitted fault and explained that I was starting out on wow to play with friends and they had mentioned something about the bot that would lvl me very quickly so I could start playing with them asap.
Said I had learned my lesson and fully accept their decision either way and that I wouldn't use something like HB again to automate anything in game.
Account was unbanned within 72 hours.

Just be honest. I was slammed with a ***NOTICE OF LICENSE TERMINATION*** just a few hours ago. I told the truth and admitted I was botting. I also told them that I didnt read the Warcraft Terms of Use and EULA without begging or making up silly stories. The first reply back I got, they said they were not going to change there stance on my account ban and everyone accepts the Terms of Use and EULA before logging into the game. I replied back by argueing that just because they accept it doesn't mean they read it, I just accepted because I wanted to play and BAM! I got a reply back saying that they have changed it from perma ban to a 72 hour ban. Hope this helps and good luck.
