Has anyone been banned yet since they added the phone model?

I started a fresh account when the patch came out and im almost level 20 now and I was wondering if anyone has gotten banned since this patch w/ a new account?

I have had my new account for about 5 days now, not banned. My theory, and its based on nothing, is that Niantic will let people bot and level up then ban you at a high level or after a week or two just to piss you off doing all the work.

You aren't "doing all the work"...the bot is...

They aren't banning because most aren't being noticed right now thanks to the updated bots.

Its a figure of speech. All the time spent botting and they delete account, is enough for some people to stop botting.

Really no proof on the letting people bot up b/4 banning them, I notice alot of low level people getting banned.

all my accounts have been banned right after i hit lvl25 in the past. have a new one at 21 right now so we will see. from what i can tell is they dont ban as soon as they detect you they wait till you can actually impact the game by going to gyms. i get 2 and 12 hour soft bans all the time on my low lvls but once i get into the 20s its perm ban only.

Anyone had their banned account unbanned? Looks like Niantic is unbanning certain accounts
