Hacked...

So a few days ago i was hacked by...if i know it...

All my chars were still there but without any items (not souldbound) or gold. Had no access to guild bank so there was no problem.

I reportet to blizzard support and 3 hours later everthing was back in my bags.

The problem is i don't know where this came from. Nothing hacked but WoW. I've never clicked a scam mail or anything like this.

Checked about tojans but no result (a few years ago i coded them by myself so i know where they hide). If it were a trojan there would be more accounts hacked then one WoW.

I'm scared about the possible solution that it could be a HB Plugin but i just use my own plugins and Kicks for the Questing bot.

However...i wanted just to let you know.

You could have been phished or if you were viewing 'other' sites (such as gold sites) they have various viruses on their sites

Also, torrents do too (ie: if you pirate games or game related software)

I have 4 comps and each have a different thing that they do;

Main comp: dev - cruise buddy and ryfto forums, check emails, bank and paypal (no links, nothing else) & skype
LT on right - media comp (music, video, youtube, social networks, etc)
LT on left - testing comp for buddy with various addons, etc
LT on back left - very heavy anti-everything and torrent comp

I'm not paranoid, but I just like not having my main comp bog down or have stuff popping up or worrying about stuff on my main comp. My torrent comp has it's antivirus pop up all damn day long from stuff i download; it's also my msn / yahoo / gold sellers (back when i sold gold) comp.

Now your issue - plugins can hack you if it's not from a legitimate source (ie: buddy team)

Azenius and my plugins won't hack people (nor buddy teams plugins)
the Zap sound plugin for whispers also looks legit

I don't use any other plugins - so i can't vouch for those

for which Hb plugin are you talking about?

think about a specific one or just saying?

It was unlikely any plugin downloaded from here but if in doubt, check the source.Your wow password was unique and never used on any other site?

I got "hacked" last week - they didn't have my pw so they opened a ticket with my email address saying they couldn't log into the game etc. Even though they were from another IP address and so on, the GM gave them access (not even kidding)...so they could have had as little as your email address & a lazy/inattentive GM. I didn't even have any email messages from Blizzard, just couldn't log on that morning ^.^

Yes that's something i thought too. Maybe i was "hacked" wihtout them knowing my password. I don't think it was any HB Plugin but it would be possible. I never use torrent's and no *****ed software. I know phishing and can decide between real and fake in this case. It's still weird...

not only that, but we cant pull your Battle.net account from the API the most we might be able to do is pull the WoW account name, so it would return WOW1 WOW2, so its pretty much useless.

Well, I got hacked too alot og times. But it was because of the chinese dudes. They just used my account for spamming. got a 3H ban and bought a autenticator like 30 minutes after I found out I was hacked ^^.. like 5 days after I was hacked agian. Suddenly I dced and could not login. I saw my password was changed. ( Saw it on my email ) Some strange things...

you dont GET hacked...

you get keylogged... phished... but NOT hacked...

last time i checked, hacking means breaking into your pc stealing your info.

stay away from dodgy pron sites... dont click dodgy emails, hovering them could be enough allr....
