Made sure everything is installed correctly, not many settings to choose from.

Bot just runs out and dies every single match, in like 30 seconds to 1m. Fires late, innaccurate. Lucky to get a shot or two off before getting destroyed.

What am I doing wrong? I don't think someone would try to sell something this piss poor. This seems like something someone threw together in 5 minutes the way it's working for me, so there must be a problem that's making it run like garbage, right?

The bot's playstyle by default is very rushy and noobish. It's designed to work with low tier (preferably premium) vehicles. Though it may be horrid to watch, the reason the bot adapts this playstyle is so that it doesn't end up as the last tank alive being spectated by dead friendly players which turns it into a report harvester. It's supposed to go in, do some damage, and queue for the next match.

Its performance differs heavily depending on which vehicles you have it queue with - there are a handful of vehicles the bot will do alright with (although always worse than a human would), but nevertheless it'll net you a metric ton of credits within a night of botting if you use the right tanks. There are plenty of suggestions around the boards which tanks to use and which ones to avoid.

I get not wanting to be last and spectated, but there's a miles shot between dying first every round and dying last and playing somewhere in the middle and getting a decent score. I was hopeful by reading things and looking at screenshots of the bot that it had some ability to aim better and detect players early or something. React better than a human could (not sure why there would be an aimbot only mode otherwise).

If this is not wanting to look like a bot, going in dying first every game, running in to buildings and players constantly and never talking surely would have done that part already.

There's a development branch for TankLeader which handles aiming a bit more .. carefully - not switching targets all the time for starters and waiting for an actual targeting lock on before shooting. Having said that, we rely on the game's auto aim functionality which aims at center of mass. Not ideal, but it's the least intrusive way we can go about it without hacking all sorts of things into the game like other "packs" do.
