GUIDE: Maximize Gold Profit in Draenor

Heres some useful tips for botting in Draenor, in terms of efficiency.
This guide will focus on gold making in open world draenor,
no phased zones (PvP, Garrisons, Dungeons Raids)
I wont go into safety for botting since that has been covered more than enough imo.

This Thread will be regularly updated, if you have any tips or suggestions to add, let me know.

What to Farm?

Grinding:

  • ilvl 665 Epics
  • Meats
  • Rylak Egg
  • Sumptious Fur
  • Primal Spirits
  • Skinning
    • Raw Beast Hide

Gathering:

  • Herbalism
    • Frostweed
    • Fireweed
    • Starflower
    • Gorgrond Flytrap
    • Talador Orchid
    • Nagrand Arrowbloom
  • Mining
    • Ghost Iron Ore
    • True Iron Ore
Non-gold grindables:

  • Reputation
  • Apexis Crystal
  • Gorian Artifacts

How to check what sells on your server?

You do not have to query the auction house manually to evaluate price changes on your server. Theres numerous existing tools that do that for you. Theres websites and addons that can be used for such.

AH price monitoring websites:

  • WoWuction
  • The Undermine Journal

AH price monitoring addons:

  • TradeSkillMaster
  • Auctionator
  • Auctioneer

They all have the basic tools you need to monitor price changes on ur server.

Raw Riverbeast Meat
Raw Elekk Meat

Sumptious Fur

Farming Combos

Some of these mats can be farmed from the same mobs in the same area so you can farm multiple mats with one profile.

Examples of some combos
  • ilvl 665 + Primal Spirits + Apexis + Reputation
  • ilvl 665 + Meats + Skinning + Fur + Artifact
  • ilvl 665 + Rylak Egg + Skinning + Fur + Reputation
  • Meats + Skinning + Fur
  • Mine + Herb + ilvl 665
General Tips:


Gathering

  • Check loot mobs to loot disturbed podlings for additional mats.
  • Get Stable level 3 in Garrison for maximum efficiency (especially for gathering)
  • Uncheck kill between hotspots at all times
Grinding

  • Make sure you check kill between hotspots if the profile fails to target the desired mobs
  • Make sure to calibrate your loot radius, decrease if you get too much of course or stuck. Increase if you pull too less or your movement looks too bottish

It is usually reserved for details about the bot ... but I would think this would add as much detail for a common question "how do iz makez lotz of goalds guizeeee?!"

I wanted to post this in guides section but i dont have permission.
And yes, this should answer a lot of questions for beginners, whether they are new to botting or new to draenor.
I will also have more details added continously and eventually profiles.
 
Good initiative, I approve. One suggestion for now, I'm not big into farming, but some people like to do multiple barns and profiles for savage bloods, so add that to the list.

You may also want to add things such as Ore Shuffles -> Draenic Dust but that might be outside your scope.

Don't want to sound rude. But what you say is: Use Grindbuddy to grind mobs, skin them if you are able.
Sell the meat, leather, and other drops that you get while you farm.
You can also gather herbs or minerals to make gold.
Check your Auction house what sells best.

Thats basically nothing new. Is it?
Where is the guide?

give the guy a chance will you? he's said it's just a starter for now. and he'll add profiles and more details as he goes.

His guide is for Draenor though. You cannot prospect Draenor ore :) And as far as I know this is part of the "shufffle"

Ore -> Rings or BS blues -> DE

Profitable if ores are below 55s or so on my server, and great for stocking up on Draenic Dust.

True, I just have been out of the loop on all of this since late Cata. I used to own my AH on my server and I made millions of gold doing the shuffle. Now I spend all my time on profiles and making gold for my wife haha.

I have never done this myself so i cant write about it. if you write a small section for these methods, ill gladly include it into the guide.
 
Is there any way to know the probability of an epic dropping? wowhead's sample sizes are too low... Is there a good estimate? Is it the same for all 100 mobs?
