Guide: How to convert GB profiles to GB2

Okay so I had a look around and found a few vague posts about it but no specific guide detailing exactly how to do it so I thought I would write one for anyone else who is as slow as me!

You will need:

• Notepad
• SpotnPoint
• Latest HB

Okay so first off you need to extract SpotnPoint into a folder somewhere (I use desktop as it's easy to navigate to). Now you need the old Gatherbuddy profile that you want to convert, for this example I'm going to use Tony's Twighlight Highlands End Run v.2.0.

1. Load up SpotnPoint.

2. Click File and then open the *.xml that you want to convert.

3. Click Convert List.

4. Now click Export List.

You will now see a file on your desktop (or where ever you extracted to) called "SnP_Export.txt", Open this, select all the hotspots and then Copy and close the document.

Now you are going to need a profile to put your hotspots into! As you can now use flying mounts in Honorbuddy (if you got a paid plugin key or are a lifetime member) you can copy your hotspots into a HB style profile with vendors, mailing and repairs!

I am not going to explain how to write Honorbuddy profiles in this guide, you can find a very good guide on how to do that here or by looking through Wiki.

Here is the converted version of this profile. I have also added a repair vendor and mailbox.

Note: I have removed a lot of hotspots to save time colouring the brackets red so I wouldn't recommend copying this example and trying to use it.

You will see I have highlighted some of the hotspot brackets in the above profile in red. These are the brackets that need to be removed from your copied hotspots after you paste them into your profile! So they should look like this:

Now Save the profile as [Your Profile Name].xml, log in to your character and load up latest Honorbuddy. Set the mode in the drop down bar to "GatherBuddy2" and load your converted profile.

Click Start and off you go!

Replace for this: <hotspot X="$1" Y="$2" Z="$3" />
And it will do the trick for you
