This is how you attach a log (You may have to click the pictures and click Next --> to see the full size)
What is a log? A log is the output of what the bot is (or is not) doing.

Log too big to upload? CLICK HERE!

  1. First, what to attach...
We want a log file from the BuddyWing/DemonBuddy/HonorBuddy directory that demonstrates the problem.
    • The log is in the Logs sub-directory underneath the location where you installed the bot.
    • The log file should demonstrate the problem--not just any random log file you find there.
    • The log file should be attached unedited. If its too big for the forums, zip it.
    • We do not want the output of the BuddyWing/DemonBuddy/Honorbuddy scrolly window.
That will not help isolate your problem in the slightest.

  2. Click Go Advanced Button

  3. Click Manage Attachments

  4. Add Files button

  5. Select the files you want to upload
If the file is too large (more than 1mb) then you can simply right click and send to --> compressed file (.zip) it before attaching.

Please tell me which profile so I don't have to guess, the zone, quest name &/or ID, and a brief description of problem ... and what it should be doing

ie:
Horde LK - Grizzly Hills
^^ that's ok

Horde LK - Grizzly Hills - I had to help the bot on quest <quest name and / or ID here>. It was not doing <logic here to complete quest>
^^ this is extremely helpful

ie:
Horde LK - Grizzly Hills - I had to help the bot on quest "I can haz cheezeburger". It was not getting the cheeseburger from the plate on the table with Darth Vader guarding it. It instead hid behind the house and /afk'd

It seems that a lot of users don't know what to do when their log file is too big for the upload manager.
The staff will not accept partial logs because the entire log contains vital diagnostic information.

.txt files are highly compressible. Logs that are 50mb in size can be uploaded to the board in .zip format.

Note: Do not confuse .zip and .rar.
A rar archive will not be accepted by the upload manager.

To zip your log, right click the correct file and move your mouse over Send to, and then click on Compressed (zipped) folder.

After you send the log to a zipped folder, the folder will appear with the same file name, but with the .zip extension.
Note: My zip archives display as WinRAR ZIP Archive because I have WinRAR installed.

You then upload the .zip.
