[GRIND] The Treezy's Sprite Plight SKYSHARD farming profile - Slateskin Troublemakers

Here's a quick profile I used to help me get my final 3 Skyshards in one night. Note: you can ONLY use this if the Golden Lotus daily quest "Sprite Plight" is available, because that's the only time these mobs spawn. This quest becomes available after you do the first 5 quests in the Golden Pagoda, and after the NPC sends you to Mistfall Village for the next set of dailies. Again, this quest doesn't happen every day, but when it does you best take advantage of it.

The reason why I prefer this over the Stonebarks or Ancient Mogu's is because these mobs keep coming non-stop. Literally dozens of them spawn within a very small area, so you don't have to do a lot of running around. Plus they are yellow, so when it's repair time it's easy to get in and out. Finally there are no other mobs or elites in the area you have to worry about. The Skyshard drop rate on these guys is %.02, the same as the Ancient Mogu's and Stonebarks. These guys are also probably the best mobs I've ever farmed for motes. 1 in every 5 kills at least, if not more.

Note: I could have sworn they dropped Ancient Guo-Lai Cache Keys too, but according to Wowhead they don't. Give it a try and let and let me know if any drop for you.

Yeah nice one. Just 2 problems, i think you need 2 Blackspots, near every table on the upper part of the area, somehow my druide-cat stuck there whole time.

Try to disable whole fucking place near tables, stuck stuck stuck :D
My result for 1 hour and 30 mins:
50 harmony
200-240 Mobs /hour
2 Shards
one blue
some gold :)

Tested: Got to run it this morning, from 2 am to 9am

Damn Great Profile!
3x Skyshards,
433x Windwool cloth,
113x Motes of Harmony,
2 BOE Blues,
Some Cooking Ingredients,
and bagful of greens

I think i would have had better results if.........

my Toon wouldn't fly to mailbox, fly to vendor, and such, i woke up and saw it walking to a vendor, therefore these results aren't the best and can be better, but even still, REALLY GOOD! thanks.

Well its my third alani now. I need about 4 days for 10 Shards. It could be much faster, but its too dangerous since other bots(3-4 on my server) everytime on the same spots.
Use ARelog, set a timeshedule about 8 hours, 3 Hours Trickster-Profil, 3 Hours Mogu-Ghosts, and mb now if its possible 2 hours of this one. =>10 Shards in 3 days for sure. Anyway sometimes it take much longer to farm one single shard. 19 hours=only one shard. This sucks but its all about beeing lucky, also karma.
Anyway dont bot longer than 12-15 hours/day.
 
I can't get this profile to attack most of the mobs. It just runs to the hot spots and passes all the mobs up.

Never mind, I had to manually attack a mob and then the profile worked as intended.
 
4 hours of farming, nothing but greens, and i was running some other grinding bots today, and i like this one more, but im dieing to see a skyshard

Will update when I wake up or if i cannot sleep in about an hour.
PS. Noticed that the npc's tend to run up the wall and down the cliff side. Huge problem when my character follows.

running bot now. set if to 10h or till 25 death occur.. horde or someshit lol

will see how many skyshards will drop.

p.s. how can u check kills/h?
 
Does not attack multiple mobs
Melee mobs chase the ones running around instead of pulling from distance
Pretty good bot over all.
 
sick profile! made me mad cash, 4 sky shards in 2 days. not too bad :p farming for my friends alani now since i already have it.

getting high kills/h numbers on this profile. on the day where these guys also run into fire much better than without the fires, but ok depends on dailies.

great stuff keep it up!

1 problem i noticed is that today eg. with the dailies there aint the vendor that the bot usually goes to, will this be a problem?
 
Awesome spot.

310 kills/hours.

Got 4 shards in 9 hours. 170 motes. I loot filter everything else

I am at 6 now, 4 more to go.
 
I really enjoy this profile. Keep in mind you have to tag 1 mob before it starts though. I can also confirm that these mobs drop keys, got 2 in 20 minutes :)
 
Worked out just great 1 night.
Went back the day after for some more farming, but the mobs have vanished(?)

Is it quest-related to see them?
Cuz now it's just empty with mobs :-/
