Hi!

The ones of you who read the patch notes probably already know about this but some of us dont :)

In the next patch the experience required to level through 70-80 will be reduced with 33%. In other words they will remove 1/3 of the total time for us to level!

This will make it much faster and it probably will be easier for profile makers to work on 80-85 because the profiles that exists now for 68-80 works well now and will work even better after 4.3.

Happy Honorbuddying!!!

Are they killing the game?.. I mean seriously with all the changes, maybe they will let you pay like 5euros to bliz to have your char start at 85..

Well its already silly fast to level to 80 anyway if you use RAF, so this won't really effect much in the short term.

You're saying this on a botting forum....Hypocrite....

would'nt really be surprised if they did so tbh

I've heard rumors of Pyrite Ore yielding epic gems on prospecting. I've gathered 5 GBank tabs of it so far just incase.

I agree with those who think that epic gems will come also from Pyrite Ore.

Some facts why I think so:
  1. Pyrite ore is the only uncomon quality ore in Cataclysm (as Titanium Ore in WotLK was)
  2. WotLK epic gems were introduced in 3.2.0 (I guess Cata epic gems will be introduced in 4.2.0 so there is a real chance, that Pyrite Ore will be their source)
  3. There were 3 types of ore - 2 common (Cobalt Ore, Saronite Ore), 1 uncommon (Titanium Ore) in WotLK, there are 3 types of ore now - 2 common (Obsidium Ore, Elementium Ore), 1 uncommon (Pyrite Ore). I mean, they didn't add new ore in patch 3.2.0 so I hope they won't do it now :)
And some facts why I have concerns:
  1. Titanium Ore wasn't prospectable before 3.2.0, it became prospectable as patch comes (Pyrite Ore is prospectable now).
  2. Maximum JWC skill was required to prospect Titanium Ore (500/525 is required to prospect Pyrite Ore).
Anyway:
Pyrite Ore costs around 100g / stack on my realm. I'm stacking so much Pyrite Ore as my budget allows me (I have more than 4700 pcs (not stacks) on my alt. I think the possible huge profit (epic gems will be very expensive as patch comes) is worth the relatively small risk. Why? Because as patch notes (or PTR) comes and there will be official information that epic gems will come from Pyrite Ore, 2 things will happen. People will start stacking Pyrite Ore for their own prospecting later + price will go astronomously up. On other hand, if epic gems (for some reason) won't be prospectable from Pyrite Ore, you can still sell them on AH. There were still be a lot of people prospecting it for rare gems or buying it as reagent for crafted items (Truegold, etc...). Alternatively, you can prospect them by yourself to get rare gems and sell uncutted gems on AH, or you can cut them and sell the too (you should probably check prices on your AH, what will make you bigger profit).

Additionally:
I'm doing daily JWC almost every day and saving all Illustrious Jewelcrafter's Tokens (have more than 100 now). I'm not learning rare recipes. A lot of people does so I won't profit too much from them. I'm rather saving them to buy a lot of epic recipes later in patch 4.2.0.

It is possible, that Pyrite Ore will produce equivalent of Titanium Powder after introducing patch 4.2.0 - another profit or another source of epic JWC recipes.

If you have enough money (I don't think you will make any decent profit with 2 stack of Pyrite Ore) and if all goes well, as a JWC with tons of epic recipes and tons of epic gems, you will be rich and you will be able to buy your own Vial of the Sands ;)

Please note that all information here is pure speculation. Nothing is confirmed. If you decide to run the risk, it's your decition. Don't blame on me later if something goes wrong.

PS: I'm not the bot farming Pyrite Ore all day and night and this is not advertisiment for my auctions, lol :D

And the rumors you've heard are dead wrong. The info you grabbed from wowhead was posted almost half a year ago. Blizzard has already confirmed that epic gems WILL NOT come from Pyrium Ore. But keep wasting your gold I guess..

Thanks for the heads up :D! Is there any "Official" said release on epic gems?

Also, will Transmorgrification affect any inserted gems, or should I keep selling those?

New crafted higher ilvl boe pvp gear so stock up on those mats, everyone will need to gem/enchant their new gear so heavenly shards & maelstrom crystals & essences & gems, stockpile flasks, even raw mats as people will be spending more time raiding or whatever than farming. That's what my server is doing anyway.
