Got scammed, also banned, but mostly scammed.

About a month ago i sold a huge amount of gold to someone who claimed he was a private buyer, i found the buyer on another forum and he wasnt listed as scammed "Then" he is now but wasn?t then.

I am glad that it was only my vanilla trading account that got banned and none of the farming accounts.

Now the way i got scammed was not by him using paypal and requesting the money back, he used a Visa/Mastercard or something, then he went to the bank and said he didnt recieve the good, that was 2 weeks after we made the trade. The money is still locked by paypal and under investigation so i could still get them back, but on paypal it say -xxx$.

Now here is a question, as the paypal is not verified can paypal demand the money from me in any way?

in that case what if i have 1 paypal that is not verified and one that is and after every trade i first get the money to the non verified paypal and transfer it to the verified one, is that safer you think?
 
Well not sure about paypals stuff.. but if you want to get back at him... try setting up a second vanila account thats got no connections to your own (maybe try a laptop at a wifi hotspot somewhere)... and go onto that server... contact a GM and basically turn that guy in for gold buying/selling.. tell the GM "Yes I sold him my gold, and yes I was banned, I just want him to get his just deserts since he ripped me off and stole my money." Now will this work? Not sure.. will it make you feel good if he shoudl happen to be banned.. hell ya LOL will be fun to see the outcome.. oh most def... So what ya got to lose :)

Now don't bother flaming me people cause you all who have been burned like this before KNOW you wanna do it too LOL
 
Paypal seems to swing either way when it comes to virtual items. Largely because there is no physical proof of goods received or not received. I got burned using a power leveling service a few years ago and lost my money.

I made a moneybookers account as you recommended it, but you cant pay on offgamers.com that you recommend :P but if there is an easy way to get the money from moneybookers to paypal?

my vanilla got banned for trading so i guess they where tracking him. so he must have been banned as well.
 
I've ebay'ed a lot of items and have delt with paypal. The only thing that will happen to you since paypal is not declared a bank in the USA, is you won't be able to use paypal anymore. DON'T PAY the negative balance, you won't have to if you intend to never use paypal again. Go with kick's advice and use moneybookers.
