After reading a lot of similar thread and botting for some while I came to conclusion that botting is safe to a very generous extent. I recently 24/7 bot two characters 1-90, grind and sold golds to get two months game times, got pm I am reported but so far I'm just fine. Blizzard need subscriptions, thus they will tolerate botting unless they think your subs contribution is too small compared to damage your botting activities generates. Ore and Herb hoarding sucks and ruins other people's gaming experience so Blizzard hates it, hence GB ban rate is so high. Farming certain commodity and flooding AH also ruin other players economy, avoid it. If you are botting to safe time and for your personal ingame benefits you can bot in peace, you'll be just fine.
