How do you guys go about selling gold? I've been searching and I seriously just have no clue how.. too many risky ways.

i think most people try and find private buyers, but selling gold is always going to be risky as you cant trust anyone, and your accounts will be put at risk.

I'm too scared to. I only play on my main account and wouldn't want to get it banned for selling gold, although it is tempting.

Guys there is simple rules to selling gold:

1. Don't trust anyone.
2. Don't sell what you can't afford to be scammed for.
3. Don't use any account that you possibly care about, use vanilla accounts to trade through a mule toon.
4. If the price is too good then its probably a scam.
5. Find a private buyer and establish a good relationship it can lead to more buyers!
6. Use forums where people build rep as its more like ebay in that way as people don't want to lose reputation over small amounts of gold if they decide to scam sellers.
7. Common sense use it! People get silly and don't think things through properly.

its kinda funny this thing. there aint nothing in the elua or tos about trading gold to another person. thats what i do. i once got banned by blizzard for a trade and i wrote a nice mail to them asking why i were banned and they told me it were because i traded gold to a hacked account. i kindly replied to them that the person were asking for gold in trade and as the kind person i am i trade him some gold. so i couldent know it were a hacket account. and guess what they ate it. they cant ban you for trading gold to another person. like i said nothing in the rules say you cant trade gold to another char.
