Part One: This is meant to inform gold sellers on Blizzard's current "detection" system, related to gold transactions. I've been botting and selling the gold I earn from botting for a decent amount of time, so I have a decent understanding of how the World of Warcraft virtual currency sector of the economy works. Recently, I had three accounts, all botting(herbing/mining) about 16 hours a day, which amounted to about $700.00 USD since MoP came out, but all of these are now banned. It took Blizzard three weeks to catch on to what I was doing, which is to be expected when i'm moving a substantial amount of gold to "Asian" sellers very quickly.
How I handled the gold was as follows:
*I had a separate guild bank for each bot and I would deposit all gold received from CoDs into the gbank.
*When I wanted to sell gold, at wholesale price to retailers, I would promote a character of one botting account to Guild Master of another botting account's guild and withdraw the gold.
*I would then deposit the gold into an "Asian" whole sale buyer's guild bank, completing the transaction.
In hindsight, this was dumb but I didn't really care if the accounts were banned, as I was clearly making decent profit from only three accounts. All three accounts were banned at once and opening tickets had no effect, as the accounts seem to be permanently closed. I've been through this many times but the point of me saying this is simply to inform other sellers of what I was doing and the ineffectiveness of the process.
Part Two: I'm currently leveling up a few SoR accounts with Kick's awesome questing profiles but i'm wondering if anyone has any better ideas than just leveling up more accounts, herbing and mining more, and eventually getting the next wave of accounts banned as well. I haven't looked into botting inscription/jewelcrafting but if someone could give me some good information on that, as far as the speed gold is accumulated through professions besides mining/herbing(obviously, it differs depending on the server but a decent average would be great), I would appreciate it. Hell, if someone gives me a great idea, I don't mind throwing a few bucks their way. Thanks, Schwindy.
