Gold prices lately

Hey guys, I was wondering how much cash do you receive lately for you gold on your servers. My top chinese buyers pay for my servers between 0.40$ and 0.52$ / 1k, which is really low imo.

Very low, should look for new chinese buyers.. sold last night and can tell you that you're dealing with the low ballers, on my list of chinese buyers theres the ones i know that usually offer the higher end then you ask the "low ballers" that usually are a good .10 or so lower. Could also be your servers but even then thats still low.

Although I was told by chinese that the day before maintenance the price of gold usually goes down, so should wait till the day of/after maintenance or weekend to sell.

I never sell for below $.75 to the Chinese. Norm is about $.8. I have some private buyers buying for $1/k.

All i've been getting is 0.60 - 0.80 Depending on Server, person I'm dealing with, what they ate for lunch.... Lol

I don't know what about you guys, but my chinese buyers won't pay more then 0.55$/k on the best servers that I got.

seriously, can someone explain to me why the prices went so low? I used to sell 1.7$ - 2.50$ to Chinese people, and i even though it wasn't too much money.. By the time they went under 1.5$ i stopped selling gold, but why that big drop? I don't think it worth selling gold nowadays.

Well.. it started at the end of WOTLK.
The game lacked new content.
less people played and less need for gold, thus the gold demand went down taking the gold value down with it.

Now in cataclysm, there still aren't any real "gold sinks" for the players.
You can make anywhere between 7k to 25k a day depending on how much work you put into it.
Players as well are making gold a lot easier than WOTLK. And the materials they need to buy to make gold, isn't that high priced right now.
Which decreases the gold value further more along with less demand.

So yeah.. >_>

That's normal, prices are just crashing, I suggest to everyone, look for a new MMO for this sort of thing, as soon as my last account's are banned and gone forever I will be carrying on elsewhere.

Thats a good strategy from Blizzard to eradicate goldselling, by lowering the need of gold for players in game. But this makes people farm less, so less being online. Not very good strategy for keeping people playing WoW.

Just a quick update from my end, after contacting all my 14 suppliers, including ones I am personal friend's with over the years, gold is hitting near rock bottom, the worst prices in history.
Every server is going below 0.5, my $1.2/k servers from a few months ago have hit $0.4/k, this is EU and US.

4 US - $0.4/k - $0.5/k
6 EU - $0.3/k - $0.4/k

Out of 14 responses from resellers they all said the same thing.

"Too many bots on the market farming gold, we can't sell fast enough"

My private buyers have demanded that I sell to them much lower, as in $0.9/k as they can get gold much cheaper from the chinese, even my most loyal private customers are demanding I lower my price.
Mat prices are falling, it is getting harder and harder to make gold from gathering, nobody want's to buy and every auction on every server is overflowing with mat's anyway.
You can get to 20+ bot's and start get a good amount of cash, however, you WILL get all your account's linked up and a lot, if not all account's will be banned at the same time, leaving you back at square one.
Majority of people know most secret's, to selling, to getting the most gold, to method's of whole process, put on a paper and way to easy now, follow a few guides and you're in there, resellers are pretty easy to find now and are not hidden.

Combine all this and It's suicide, I am learning another MMO as already stated in my previous post and would suggest everyone to do the same, this market is WAYYY over saturated and has been for a while.

Goodluck to everyone, hopefully it may pick up but I sort of doubt it with the lack of cata content and the incredible surge of newcomers trying to make a buck or two, the golden days are long, long gone.

i used gold to trade for gamecards. I dont think selling big amount worth the risk.

300k -> 150$. Sound good. What if i'm banned >.< 150$ pays for some bills and meals. Not worth it. Bot is for fun. You want business? Get a life, its way for fun than playing main account and both a series of them.

Im in the same boat as everyone. I remember selling gold at about 20 bucks per k. I thought it was the greatest thing ever. But more and more people started to get the same idea and when you have more botters, more gold in the market, and it being easier to make gold the legit way, its only natural for things to fall. Blizzard just made it easier and easier to get gold. While WoW still has alot of player, Blizz knows it cant last forever. They held the market share forever but there are alot of great MMOs out there that are new and making a statement.

Even if half the gold farmers quit, the prices wouldnt go up that much.

If you don't mind me asking, what games are you considering? I've done some research as well, and I haven't found any other games that have a more promising market (or at least that don't appear to crash like Wow's has)
