Gold making - returning player

Hey guys,

I haven't played in a longgg time so I'm not 100% sure on what the best way to get gold is now. The highest lvl mats from mining/herb go for like 20g a stack, which isn't that much. I've tried farming a few instances for embersilk cloth but again that's only 20g a stack. I know it depends on the server and looking at the AH but what are the possibilities so I can weigh up all the options I have.

I'm just trying to make 38k at the moment so I can get enough to renew my sub. The most amount of gold I've got thus far is from just leveling to 90.
 
Since farming ores/herbs with GB is one of the most riskiest way to gain gold nowadays. I guess you would be better of to find a farming profile that focuses on dungs/mobs etc (Idk if that's even safer than GB2).
 
Has Blizz finally picked it up then? I mean I would only farm here and there once or twice every week or something.

I guess that sounds good. I don't have any experience on farming whatsoever so I might not be the person for this. I'm just saying what i've seen on the banning section, and usually it's about farming. But if it's a throaway account then go for it :)
 
Do something inside that is away from players like grinding dungeons or farming cloth in dungeons for 4-6 hours. Too risky nowadays
 
You can farm like you said.

But use either of the following plugins to keep you safe:

GatherSafe
AvoidPlayers

And to be on the cautious side use:

LogMeOut

Do this and your farming will be fine given the amount if time you described.

I am a farmer, 5-6k an hour shuffled, crafted.

How much do you manage to squeeze out per stack of Ghost Iron (if that's what you are farming) and are you using randomBuddy?
