Gold Find Maximum

All I was popping on some gold find gear and I noticed that in my stats on the gold find tooltip it says

"you may have a maximum of 300% gold find"

T6 grants 1600% gold find,

therefore is this saying that I have a maximum of 300% from gear / paragon and get the bonus relative to torment level or that 300% is my absolute max and the additional I get from torment is a waste of time?

enter a game
press "c" for character info
press details
scroll down to the bottom
look for goldfind and the percentvalue in that line
put on goldfind gear and check if the value increases
yay problem solved

TLDR: goldbonus from difficulty does not count towards the cap!

I knew the top bit and it did increase, what threw me was the "300% max" even though I was showing 1700% odd

still though, if running torment 6 you are just increasing your goldfind by an effective 5.9% since you are allready on 1700% goldfind total (100 base + 1600 tor6), so if you lose to much dps/toughness i would not put goldskin on.

thanks, well pointed out I struggle with these percentage improvements. I see 100% increase and I immediately think that will double the amount of gold I find which in reality it is only a fraction of that.
