Going to ruin it for the rest of us

So on my realm forums I have been noticing a lot of people posting
threads trying to sell insane amounts of herbs and other gathered mats
at really low prices. Am I wrong in thinking that is just plain stupid?
Yes one might argue that they have been saving them up for a long time
and need the space or some other reason but to me it is just someone
bringing unnecessary attention to the possibility of Botting. So now
not only do we have to worry about being detected in game, but also
have to worry about the forum moderators bringing extra heat on our
realm that would have otherwise not been the case. I am on a low
pop realm that doesn't have many botter's that I have noticed or
have heard about.

who cares what goes on, on the blizzard forms? if they are dealing botted goods in there, then of course they are going to get caught, but MY guess is just like i dont have access to the Key and Payment system, they dont have GM access, so having them ban anyone from game is probably very low, since they are just forum moderators. if they are going to get caught, then they are going to get caught, that just how it is. WE Ruin it for ourselves, because if we didn't inconvenience other players, and we DIDN'T put a strain on blizzards support dealing with us, there wouldn't be a problem, and bossland wouldn't be getting sued.

I get what you are saying and agree but I think there has got to be a little cross talk between the community managers and the in game GM's. I guess I'm just being paranoid.

heres the thing, the more you get paranoid, the less you bot, till your not botting anymore, and blizzard wins. all because you fear things that arent going to happen. the worse thing that can happen is you get banned. its not like your going to go to jail, or get fired from your job, if you get banned you move on, thats all there is too it. like a guy who builds remote controlled planes, whats the point if your too scared to fly them, but if it crashes it crashes, dont feel sad you lost the plane, use that plane as a learning experience so when you build your next one you'll know what mistakes not to make.

Thats not as bad as my realm..

On my realm someone went in trade and told everyone to /who ulduar and whisper every person at least 5 times to clean out botters.


People do that all day now so people with the LogMeOut plugin get logged off.
