Going around water?

Hi there!

Can anyone tell me if there's any way to stop the bot from going over rivers/water/ponds? Using Central Park as an example, my bot will try to cross over the water instead of going around and following a pathway. I can't seem to find a way around this and you can't really sit and stare at your screen to stop it before it does. Any help would be appreciated!!
