The real question here is did you actually get banned today, or did you just happen to notice that the account has been banned?

Were you online when the ban occurred, or did you just notice an email from blizz today?

If you did actually get banned today, that means they're still in the process of sending bans out and all these people that say they haven't been banned very well may still be banned in the coming days.
