GMs killing people?

Hello my fellow botters.

I've in the last time seen alot of threads about suspecious activity, and about someone thinking that GMs kill people.
This can actually be right - last night, we were sitting 4 people botting and monitoring the bots. One of my friends (fedebjerg) was on his way to turn in a quest, and then, out of nowhere, he was killed. We checked "statistics" under Achievements. What we saw were strange: his largest hit recieved was his exact HP. This was taken while running on the track in Elwynn Forest.
Can this actually be GMs trying to find botters? Or is it just a bug ingame? Or even paranoia?

Just happend again, my friend took his exact HP in damage, and died. No sign of anything

until a lot more people report this then it won't be taken seriously, you can only get killed by your exact HP via Falling Damage... so if this does continue I can make a plugin to detect this since Beta API's recent addition was monitoring onDeath and there are other events as well.

Nah, when you get massive damage the combat log will say that you took your exact health in damage and the rest is stated as (### overkill). Some WoW addons will remove the amount of overkill. In that case you will always get you exact HP.

Ok this actually happened to me as well, I was running around in SW and all of a sudden just died with no show of it in the combat log, my character simply died.
I'm afraid I don't have proof because I simply ignored it and thought it was odd but if others are experiencing this too I'm glad I'm not the only one.

This has only ever happened to once, at least that I know of as it may have happened at other times when I botted without having supervision.

haha, that a GM wants to kill random people ?
they have better things to do than sit around scouting for bots to 1 shot ;D

imo, you're a drama-queen, and maybe paranoid..
if it only happened once, aint a certain "proof" that a bored GM would sit with a cake and coffee and target you like a kid with a magnification glass and kill you like an ant..

It could be to see if the person resses, maybe some bots cant, and it could be a way to spot them?

i havent been insta killed but i have been rooted into a bgs graveyard a few times

cant move and when you try cast spells you get the 'you cant do that while stunned' message, if im babysitting i just say wtf or such in chat and wait out my afk buff

maybe. but i can tell you right now if i were a gm and i knew someone was botting, id screw with them id make a macro that ports them to stormwind every 10 minutes. so they have to run back to wherever they were. or just make a macro that spawns them a couple hundred feet off the ground every so often.

Im actually serious. Its not likely to have GMs randomly kill people, but theres a chance, srsly

maybe. but i can tell you right now if i were a gm and i knew someone was botting, id screw with them id make a macro that ports them to stormwind every 10 minutes. so they have to run back to wherever they were. or just make a macro that spawns them a couple hundred feet off the ground every so often.

Then you wouldnt be a GM for long i imagine lol. If a GM suspects someone is a bot they probably have standard procedures they have to follow. I doubt they are allowed to just mess and harrass a player becuase they "believe" its a bot. If there is proof a character is botting then they are pretty much just banned.
