GF vs Champion Farming

I haven't botted for to long but I've played for some time and it seems items are selling slower and slower (even the good ones). So I've been thinking about what would give the best income, GF vs Champion farming.

GF has the advantage of being a steady income of 250-300k GPH (more if you're really good geared and DH).
Champion farming has the highest chance of getting those 100+ mil items, but at the moment it just feels like there are so many good items on the AH that it's going to take a while to sell stuff, even the best.

What do you guys think?
 
I do both at the same time.

I get constant gold no matter what and every now and then I get huge lump sums. My end goal is to run 2 A3 barbs and 1 Goldfind DH

BUT, also get this. I am findng about 3 lvl 40 legendaries a day with my A3 nightmare DH. believe it or not, that stupid low lvl bow with like 110 DMG is selling very high for me on the Auction house. It's over 1m right now with about 11 hours left. so your not just getting gph in A3; those legendaries you find are sellable

interesting, do you think that the 2 barbs will make you more gold (/money) in the end then the DH, and how long do you think it takes for champion runs to get more gold that GF overall?
 
it's all luck I think. I just like knowing that I have a constant 370K an hour coming in

But, i'd rather try my luck with running 2 barbs and trying to find that $150+ item,

How do you go about pricing those RMAH items? Compare equal items that are already on AH? And how do you filter them out to begin with?
 
yes, check for similar pricing, then undercut the estimated price of the ones posted

AH has filters on the left hand side

I ment how do you filter out what items to take to the RMAH :)
 
my DH only keeps high lvl items. So only legendaries

I use Giles Trinity for champion farming. So it separates it for me
 
my a3 barb 53 paragon is making 180k gph :D , champ farm >>>> gold farm
 
Well my DH is farming 450k GPH. I find ton of useless legendarilys . Still 50k here and there... but i haven't found anything nice to sell. However collecting gems and pages i think that 500GPH is reachable in the end. I like to farm gold because well you know that at the end you have X amount of gold. Still its like 12euro per day (if 24/7, which i don't) And you can get a nice DH running for 10-13 mil gold. Hell even lower, my gear is overkill.

However i am gonna try a A3 farm for my next bot. Some people report very high income from it like 50euro every day from items. Even if that is exaggerated i believe it can yield more money(maybe it just the grass is always greener on the other side, but i am going to try). Main concern is that like 80%(judging by how popular are champion threads) of DB is boting for items. Also the play base is shrinking so i kind of fear that no one will buy anything than the best...even if you have a very good item. At least allot of people say that selling items is hard. Still don't just trust people try for yourself OP.

P.S. Would be helpful if people farming champions say how much money/gold they make per month(average)

but also my GPH DH found 2x puzzle rings which was pretty surprising, they do drop in NM.

Like you said, would be nice to know how much money/Gold people are getting Edith champion farming.

My main concern with selling items are that (like you said) with declining player base only the best items will sell.
 
So where are you folks running for gold to get 450k per hour and such? Is there some other place like Sarkoth where I can farm gold without running into game limits, or are you just collecting gold from Champ clears somehow? I can't get over 100k/hr in A1 champs.
 
As long as you dont get banned champion farming >> gold farming just from the PL. The gear investment is so much higher though; if you do get banned it's a pretty huge setback.
 
ANd thats also another thing, I have found 2 puzzle rings in about a month, which equals 20M. That's around, give or take, 60 hours I would have to be botting for to get that at 350gph

These are the unique drops I've had the past 2 days I'd say yeah act3 champ farming with the right setup and gear is wroth it! Its not every day like this but on average I get one 10-40mil unique/set per day sometimes you have luck and get more.. And thats not counting Crafting Plans and Rares doh most Rares only sell in the range of 200k up to 10mil. And lets not forget you get Gold from picking up Gold while Farming Inferno as well.. ~250k G/H. So there is no way non what so ever that GF Farming wins out on Champion Farming.
 
To end this difference on both, heres a simple thing to put it.

. If u say u have good items atm and believe or tried to a3 but gots no mf nor gf on ur gear stats, just get paragon lvls youll be ok till u got decent gold with champ farming and a few paragon lvls who lnows abit of drop here and there.

. If you urself have money to shell out then u have to decide to build ur gear (whether gf or mf)

GF is still somewhat profitble as what most people would say,
MF is alot of luck if ur good at selling on both AH / RMAH or vice versa, and u get that enjoyment of full stash with legendaries then this is 4u.

Edit: GF is riskier and the only way to be profitable if ur looking for quick earnings is 24/7 (kamikaze bots)

man you are lucky. Pretty sick random rolls on some of those. I dont even think Ive found such good items in a week and thats with 5 bots. Pls gief me some of that luck :)
