GF or MF

Has anyone actually done any like testing or anything?

I was reading up on something someone wrote on another forum and they made a good point that went something like
if you have .1% chance of finding a good magic item that 200-300% mf isn't going to do much except turn it into .2 or .3%...
Given how rare good drops are I'm honestly considering gf to be a better choice. Like finding a rare that sells for 4m once every week or two doesn't sound as good as getting double or more the gold from farming every time rather than it being a chance. Follow me?

Anyways sorry this is a super incomplete thought and I'm sure it may be a bit hard to read, but I wanted to know if anyone switched to gold find and is having more success then mf or not.

i switched to gold find, valor stacks are enough for getting rares to me. But I'm poor, so don't listen to me...

GF is by far the best choice. MF increases the chance of getting items - it doesn't give them better stats. Especially at Inferno lvl, you want items with ilvl 62 as their stats generally are better than ilvl 60 and 61. Say you farm act 1, you can farm this over and over for a small chance of getting slightly better gear or for the gold to get the best gear.

Also remember there is a max on the amount of items a given mob can drop, there isn't (as far as I know) a ceiling on the gold drops.
