I know that there has been quite a few people asking the same question, but from everything that I have read and everything that I have tried, I still cant seem to find a way to run the game in 32bit. I have tried deleting WoW and uninstalling it to get rid of the Battle.net app and everything else with it. Whenever I downloaded WoW again, I still had to download the app again. Then once I deleted the Battle.net app, the game still wants to run in either 64 or 86 even when I change the game preferences in the launcher menu to 32. So has anyone figured out how to fix this problem wiothout having to reboot my OS into a 32 version?
Thanks for the help.

Can't quite see how the game "wants to run in 64..." when you've set the Game Preferences to 32 in either Battlenet or the initial Wow screen. It should be remembering that specification, but with Windows anything can happen.
Run the game as administrator, as has been said in multiple posts. Check your compatibility mode as well (right click the wow.exe file and select troubleshoot compatibility. In Properties you can check the run as administrator box.)
Make sure you are launching the wow.exe file and not the wow-64 or wow launcher file, that should help.
Good luck!

Just run wow.exe to load the 32 bit version of wow. I don't understand why you're talking about rebooting your OS into a 32-bit version ?!

In the root of your wow directory you will find wow.exe (32-bit version) and wow-64.exe (64-bit version).

Just run the correct file.

If you use the honorbuddy launcher that will also load the correct version (after which it will load HB)

Rename the wow-64 process to something else that is what I had to do.

In the post, I said that when I select the wow.exe to run the game (not wow-64.exe) with the game preferences set to 32 it still starts up in either 64 or 86.

Venndann, I haven't tried running the woe.exe in administrative mode yet. I'll try that. Maybe that's what I was missing and why it wouldn't stay in 32

Rename Wow-64.exe to Wow-64.old
Execute Wow.exe

See ya

So,

I tried renaming Wow-64.exe to Wow-64.old

Running the game as administrator, as has been said in multiple posts. Checking my compatibility mode as well (right click the wow.exe file and select troubleshoot compatibility. In Properties, checked the run as administrator box.)

Nothing is working. When I use WoW.exe it runs in 86 even though i have changed the setting in the launcher to 32 and have

As he said

x86 = 32 bits
x64 = 64 bits (lol)

Search google next time, x86 architecture is equivalent to 32 bits
