So before the patch I was having 30-40% cpu usage on a VM with fps limited to 20, now with lowest settings I'm getting 90% cpu usage, what's causing this and what's everyone else' experience after the patch?

It seems like something is really off with the client, ram usage also went up, is there any workaround? Other than setting everything to low etc

I'm not running in a VM but for me, CPU is 9-15%. Ram get out of hand and but ram did that for me before the patch.

For me it was a add-on that was out of date after updating it from cursegaming my fps when back to what they where.

Hi, Roneo1,

We got hints that the new WoWclient was going to be less performant than previous ones when they moved the 'max camera distance' in.
Ref: [post=2220542]Max Camera distance in Legion changing[/post]

But 40% to 90% CPU usage does seem a bit excessive, even if the machine is underpowered. As the other have suggested, there may be some tweaks you can make to recover. The first thing to try would be to slightly bump up the priority of the WoWclient process. Also (as others have suggested), disable all your WoWclient addons to eliminate them as suspects.

cheers,
