***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name:

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for ""real-world"" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this behavior is the result of a third party accessing the account instead of the registered user (for example, a friend, family member, or leveling service) then the account can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/antigold.html

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

For any disputes of this action or further information on Exploitive Activity, please visit the Exploitative Activity FAQ and contact page here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/exploitfaq

You can easily get an economy abuse ban lifted if you phone them.

Scholozar must be a hot spot, i quit botting their after my ban about 3 weeks ago

Thanks for the reply, what do I say?

Just say you didn't know there was a limit to what you can post on AH. Say it's the summer holidays for you and you've been trying to get as much gold as you can ready for cata and from now on you won't post as much now that you know the rule. Just sound sorry and genuine.

It's against blizzard ToS to share an account, whether it's someone random or your brother. They know people do it, but if you say that as a ban appeal they can use it against you if the person on the phone is a prick.

Tos says you can share with family including cousins.

Got it unbanned. I am now going to bot this account 24/7 with mailing and downtime only for ah postings. I'll let you guys know how long until I get banned again. I use a guild bank to store all gold and items so if they ban it I can just go on a different account and move everything.

What did you say to them to get it unbanned. And what account info did you have to give them over the phone? Just curious because I have yet to get an abuse of the economy ban lifted for posting in the ah. Thanks for your help.

I used the excuse in the thread about making money for cata. I said I let my little brother play on my account only if he mines. They wanted the usual info, bnet acc, acc name, name, and SQA.

Make sure you get a guy. If you get a girl hang the phone up. Girls always give problems.

Thanks! I will give it a try!

I don't usually say this, but LOL

It's true. I do the same with every customer service I call. Internet tech support, power company cust. service, everything. Girls are generally just a huge pain in the ass when it comes to problem solving.

It really is true. The girls that work for Blizzard are just bit**es. I got a girl and couldnt remember my SQA and she said you are SOL. I got a guy and he has me give him the last four digits of a credit card I used, and the characters ont he account. No problem.
