Gathering Bot Profile Creator Causing Problems

Hey Everyone,

I have tried creating some new profiles and they aren't working. I even tried using a profile that was already created on the forum. One is to farm wind shards and the other is to farm rosewood logs. Both are in East Shroud.

Please assist.

I keep getting: Unable to find target that we can path to, check the radar for nearby nodes and try adjusting the profile. Moving to furthest waypoint to search for some.

your expectations are a bit unrealistic =/

There's no buddy staff specifically for support, like honorbuddy's tony, because there's not enough support posts for one

mastahg is 'pretty good' about responding to support posts, when there's a log/it's regarding the bot's core or his code/he thinks it needs a response, but you shouldn't expect him to be quick.

At first glance, it doesn't even appear to be a problem with the bot it's self but instead the profile or how you're using it. Are you sure you're starting it in the correct location? Are you sure you're standing in a normal spot and not somewhere that might be off the mesh? Did you try using an orderbot gather profile?

Often when questions can be answered by the community, mastahg leave's it to the community and I think that's appropriate.

btw, community devs are not buddy staff. We're just users that are trying to be helpful :S

I am sorry if my expectations are high but I did pay $30 for this program. I pay the same amount for other services that have a customer service division. If there is not enough staff, or no way of a better customer service representative, then the program should be free or ask for donations.

I am not picking on community developers but am simply stating that if you charge someone for something, you are technically running a business.

I have done everything you have said. I will continue to try and figure it out on my own vs. using the forum.

You're paying for the nav servers and the time mastahg spends programming. A programmer's time is expensive.

Expecting a service which costs thousands of dollars to be free/donation based is rather insane. Especially if your only complaint is that the programmer doesn't spend hours of unnecessary time on customer support when the support in question would be settled by the community.

$30 is really nothing considering you'll be able to use it for years/decades.

A lot of businesses don't even offer free in depth support :S

If you don't want to spend the time talking to people in the community to figure out what's wrong and would just rather rage because the staff won't magically solve all of your problems right away, that's your choice.

If you change your mind and want to figure this out with people, feel free to post again.

When you used an orderbot gathering profile, did you receive the same errors?
Did you check the radar for nearby Mature Tree nodes?

You are right. I over-reacted. I will be more aware of my words, especially when it has only one developer.

I am still trying to figure out why it's not working. Will keep you updated.
 
I keep getting the same results. I have started exactly where I created the profile, and I get the same errors with the orderbot gathering profiles.
 
I even made a simple profile where it was just two nodes and it still has the same thing popping up.

Can you please post the orderbot profile and a log from it?

hmmm, I was thinking this might be because gatherbot is kind of deprecated. Weird that orderbot isn't working.

That worked! Can you tell me what exactly blackspots and hotspots do?

Blackspots prevent the bot from attempting to interact/pull nodes/mobs within that area.
Hotspots are where the bot goes to look for nodes/mobs.
