Gathering and Stuff in WoD

Yo so i have never used HB after an expansion. What was the experience in the past - how long did it take for example that mining and herb profiles were released? How abt at least simple shuffle profiles which prospect and stuff the new materials?

And sure botting is never safe blabla - i know that - however, again how was it the last expansions, everybody jumpin on a gatherbuddy lovetrain, using the same public profile? I knw some of you will have their own, i just imagine once there are a few profiles they must be very overused? tl:dr using gatherbuddy in the beginning of WoD would be quite unsafe, what ya think? Whats ur experience?

I am asking cuz of course i am thinking what i wanna do.. will i just use battlechest and continue dungeon farm or will i farm ore which for sure will be much much higher gph, especially when shuffled. Leveling 90-100 with gathering would be the best case but yeah i dunno how these things work out since i have never botted in the first weeks or even months after a new expansion was released.

Share your experience and ideas, would be great and helpfull.

you may want to read about profession changes. gems will no longer be prospected from ore. not sure if that affects your plans. but it might.

with gatherbuddy profiles so easy to make, im not sure why anyone would use a public profile. however, everything should be done in moderation, even private profiles.

Is there any guide on how to make those herbing/mining profiles for gatherbuddy? Keep in mind that i have never done it. Thanks for any response.

Good point abt Gems. Yeah guess i need to get more into the changes and if making gathering profiles is possible even for noobs, well of course i'd give it a shot. I guess there is a wiki or some youtube or stuff abt it? I know i stumbled across some pick pocket how to's so far.

i think garrisons have a big potental, going to lvl main to 100 and alts to 93 for there first house- herbalism and mining house u can gather it 1 a day and do a quest every 8hrs i think, u even have a fishing pond in there its phased so this should be nice for botting

already thought the same, u dont get reports and gms wont just randomly check all garns
but since everybody will have their garnisons, i think the ore and herb price will fall strong, and on my server (full) its already now at 35-40 silver

On the release of both Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria I started botting right from the get go.
Profiles were released pretty rapidly if i can remember correctly, however as previously stated, you can quite easily create your own Gatherbuddy profile which may take the heat off you.

Historically there was huge sums of money to be earned in the first couple of weeks post expansion release, however again as previously stated, with the addition of garrisons this could throw a spanner in the works. I think even with the garrisons there will still be some good coin to be made but it may not be as high as history tells us.
