Gatherbuddy2 keeps trying to use flying mount on character...

...that does not have the ability to fly in the old world.

I have specified Dreadsteed in bot settings and general settings, but he just stands around trying to mount.

Find mount automatically is not checked either(I'm not even really sure what that one does..)

Any suggestions?

GB 2 is designed solely for flying mounts. It will not work with a ground mount, end of story.
My suggestion is to get a profile for the area you want, which is an HB2 profile, then run HB2 in ground mount farming mode, with gather herbs and ore checked.

Yea do what the poster above said but to be more specific using honorbuddy use the grinding bot setting, choose a specific profile for HB herbing or mining (there are tons) and in bot settings check ground mount farming mode. That's how I leveled up my mining and herbing precata with no flying in the regular places.

Ah. seems like a good idea. I thought I had tried that, but maybe between messing with settings, I overlooked that one.

Not level 60 would be a good reason. Don't know if that is the reason he/she's not flying, but yah. Another would be that he/she can't afford a flying mount/train yet.
