Gatherbuddy wont Attach to character :(

Hey I can bot on my desktop just fine but when I just bought my new laptop and decided to bot on it instead I transfered the gatherbuddy file over and had to use the gatherbuddyinstallerworkaround just like I did on my desktop... anyways. When I start WoW then gather buddy it says
"Character: Not Attached
Account: Not Attached"

any idea whats going on?

P.S. Honorbuddy works fine on it though only GB

wow in windowed?
running gb.exe as admin? (right click --> run as admin)
whitelisted in antivirus(es)?
using d3d9?
