Gatherbuddy save, or not?

There have been plenty of bans the last weeks for using GB2 in Pandaria I guess.

a) Is GB2 safe in other areas?
b) Are there alternatives to GB2 at the moment?

I heard of Fpsware's attempt but it seems like its gonna take a loooong while till its out.

ive been doing it fine just do it safely. i have multiple druids and just bot about 4 hrs on each

i never GB2 more than 2 hours a day. which is about 2000-3000 gold. plenty for me. also, use plugins like randomBuddy, AvoidPlayers, PlayerReportsDetector, LogMeOut!, GatherSafe etc.

I've pretty much the same question.
Botted for long time then stopped playing 2 years ago. Now I restarted playing and after 1 week of GB2 usage I get a ban.
Luckily I got unbanned.

So I guess the question is what is safe to farm currenty?
