Gather V Honor

Heya guys. I was just wondering what the main differences were between gather and honor buddy? Cheers

Gatherbuddy(2) does things like mining, herbing, and skinning. Basically, it gathers. It's a gathering botbase. Honorbuddy does things like questing, grinding, dungeons, profession leveling (via professionbuddy botbase, contained in Honorbuddy), and also has botbases that are meant to control only combat while the player handles all movement (LazyRaider / Raidbot / Combat bot), and it can also do battlegrounds and arenas.

So, I guess, in a nutshell Gatherbuddy handles your gathering needs while Honorbuddy does practically everything else.

Im looking to farm some fish. I recall using honorbuddy for this when i last used the bot (1 year or so ago), would you recommend me using gatherbuddy instead? Also what is the name of the plugin used to do fishing?

As seVen said, search for AutoAngler2. It's a botbase that goes in HB. It does fishing for you. Gatherbuddy was meant mainly for gathering professions like mining and herbalism. It can do skinning too, I think, but nowadays I use HB and a grinding profile for my skinning needs. I just set the main bot options to skin mobs as it grinds on things.

But yes, for fishing, look for AutoAngler2 in the search function.

If you got the AutoAngler2 I'm thinking of, you would extract it into your HB/Bots folder. You may need to make a new folder inside that directory and extract it into the new folder. I can't remember. It's been a while since I've extracted AA2. So, it would either be HB/Bots, or HB/Bots/<Your New Folder Name>

Well, if I'm not mistaken, AA2 used to be a plugin, but now I believe the author changed it into a bot base. If it wasn't the author, then someone else. I know it's a bot base now because it's in my bot base drop down list. Anyway, good luck to you.
