Hey guys I just wanted to see if any one was interested in sharing how they have set there garriosons up I.e is it purly set for gold or trade skills or raiding just want to see what peoples opinions are

Not all of mine are configured the same, but close to 80% of them are set up this way at level 100 with Level 3 Garrisons:

Level 3 Mine & Garden - This is a no brainer since free ore, herbs, and food always come in helpful and they don't take up a small, medium, or large plot

Level 3 Fishing Shack - It's a free plot and I like fish so I take advantage of it :)

Level 3 Barracks - 5 more followers means I can assign followers to huts, mine, or garden and keep a body guard if I want and still have a good number of followers for missions.

Level 3 Lumber Mill - A good profile and a Timber plugin will load you up with wood in a short period of time for the mill to keep generating garrison resources(GR) for missions, the bunker/warmill, and follower rerolls if you choose.

Level 3 Trading Post - Fast easy way to produce additional GRs and I like having an auctioneer in my Garrison when I need it. The Reputation bonuses are nice to.

Level 3 Bunker/Warmill - Keeps the follower armor and weapon upgrades rolling in over time. I think it's worth it, but that's up to you. (Read below about swapping out the Bunker/Warmill for the Inn later on.)

Level 3 Storehouse - A must in my opinion for having bank access close by. Increasing the available work orders in the other buildings is a plus and the Transmog guys are handy if you need them.

Level 3 Tailoring Hut - 90% of my toons are max level tailors and the Hexweave work orders generate the free Hexweave Bags I use on my alts or to sell on the AH.

Level 3 Salvage Yard - Another good way to raise the item lvls of your followers and some decent BoEs here and there are always nice.

Level 1 Enchanter's Study - Basically just so I can DE BoP stuff for dust or crystals if my toon doesn't have enchanting.

*Once my followers have all reached item lvls that allow me to do the higher follower missions I get rid of the Bunker/Warmill and go with the Level 3 Inn so I can recruit followers and open up the Treasure Hunter missions with my followers.

As for missions, once I have most of my followers at 100 with an item level of 630-645 I focuse them on Treasure Hunting and Scavenger Missions to increase gold and GR income. It's also good to keep a team set up that can 100% handle any mission in the game.

Here's a really good guide to Follower setups for anyone interested: Garrison Follower Setup Guide

Wow signal7 what an awsome and iformative post thank you. At the moment im trying to set up all my toons garrisons the list as follow level 3 garrioson with lvl3 herb and mine. Lvl2 barracks lvl2 bunker medium plots are lunerfal in lvl2 trading post lvl2 small plots enchanters study lvl1 store house lvl2 and salvage yard lvl2 the reason they are mostly lvl 2 is because im doing the acheivs wich shouldnt take me long with 5 100 chars on the same account. But making gold from the garrison seems like quite a good way to make some daily gold after the pain in the butt settup it seems like once you do tho fairly easy gold

i get the lvl 3 mine and herb then all other buildings are lvl 1, i get 2 professions and 2 building that match that professions, this is so i dont need to upgrade my buildings to lvl 3 to make stuff to sell, the 3rd building would be enchaning one coz this only ever needs to be at lvl 1 to sell stuff as they are not bop like all others

i like my builds to be blacksmith and leather working ones for the earths as they sell a bit more, the only reason u should have a lvl 3 small building is if its not one of you professions or an enchanting one so you can make items to sell on ah, i prefer to make buildings that match my professions so i dont need to spend the gold doing this as it adds up and the only real benifit to having a lvl 3 is more work orders at once so u dont need to do daily garrisons and you can craft things, when you have a bot the daily garrsion does not matter and when you have the profession you can make the book to learn how to craft the items,

i have a lvl 3 herb and mines coz its best in the long run more gold ....

storehouse is a wate of a slot same with salvage yard, salvage was good but then they nerfed it

so i recommend

lvl 3 mines, herb - allows you to get mats and bloods from primals, costs a lot at 1st but best in long run
lvl 2 trading post - allows you to trade in mats for GR then GR for dust as dust sells the best, on my server it works out 1 GR = 1 gold from doing this, you only want lvl 2 if you do a bit of farming for the AH parts then u can sell them on AH
lvl 1 buildings that match your professions (best being BS, LW, Tail) then for the 3rd get a Ench, BS and LW is best for eaths and Tail is best for bags as they sell a bit better/faster then most other items

note this is for gold if you want to do something other than gold farming then do it

Its quite simple.

Do everything to max out GR until you have a Tier 3 garrison and some extra to spend on replacement buildings. Then get Inn / War for follower and follower upgrades. Then when you start getting a ton of Scavenging minions you need to get Trade building so you can flip your GR to other stuff and sell on the AH. Atm its like 0.75 gold :: 1 GR. Some missions reward like 1200 GR if you have 3x scav, so thats a nice 1000g :)
