Funny Story Ban

So I got a funny story about 1 of my many bans from this game. So a few months back I got a 14 day ban on one of my accounts and a final warning saying that my account was under review for termination. I was given a link if I would like to appeal it.
So I filed my appeal and began discussions with one of the support team via email and I kind of ranted about; How most games are built with cheats already in them, Cheating being harmless, About how botting doesn't actually change any game data, How botting offers me no real advantage over the unemployed people who can play this game for massive hours and about how I am sick of companies releasing half finished games and content. I then continued on to say to them that if they are going to blame me for beaching TOS and cancel my account that I would be filing a complaint with fair trading. Because I paid for an advertised service that I would not be receiving. Then I stated that if I build a house for someone and its up the shit and needs a lot of shit fixed. That the person I sold my building services to is entitled to a refund by law and the gaming industry should be held to the same standard.
So in a matter of hours I get an email back saying basically "we are reducing it to a temporary ban of 72 hours" and "here is a copy of our TOS".
So to sum up I openly admitted to botting and told them if they were to delete my account I would do my best to hold them accountable for all the shit they do to us. And ta-da my account that was under review for perma ban gets reduced to temp ban.
 
So are you sure, that you will never receive perma ban if you continue botting?))

The threats from some 14 year old to a billion dollar company are not taking seriously whatsoever. Like what's wrong with this generation?...

My point to this particular conversation was never to threaten blizzard but to show them that it is ethically wrong to hold people to the TOS so strictly when they have never really been held to the same standard as other industries and sell a polished and finished product.
The reason I posted here about this conversation was because threats aside I openly admitted to botting and they reduced my ban time.
And yes I did continue to bot on the account I am talking about (with out further incident). This particular account has had the bot running 8-10 hours per day since its creation. And yes I am talking about world of warcraft.
As to wether I will get banned again on this account, I think that is highly likely considering the hours it runs. As to if they reduced my time because they listened or they found it humorous, I couldn't say.
I personally like to think that like Snazzyjdawg they mistook me for an angry prepubescent teen and found it humorous.
But again the point of this post was I openly admitted to botting and managed to keep my account and I find that humorous.

Yeah, I'm calling bullshit on this "story" as well.

14 day ban for what? I've had numerous accounts banned for about every possible reason over the past few years....NEVER and i mean NEVER have i received a 14 day ban???
 
If I had gotten a 14 day ban, I wouldnt be appealing - I would be confused.
