Full bags logic

This seems like a sensible suggestion to me:

Instead of hearthing if full on EITHER herbs OR mining, wouldn't it make sense to just go "Full on herbs, test if full on mining" and if NOT full on mining, keep doing mining until full on BOTH.
 
thats how it works now. GB keeps going until you have zero free bagslots, regardless of bag type.
 
but if you have no free slots for herbs.. and half a bag free for ore. doesnt it keep trying to herb stuff?
 
I don't know if GB knows the difference between normal bags and mining/herb specific bags. I use full Frostweave bags and i have no problem, it hearths to Dal and puts stuff in guild bank when i hit 0 free slots left.

Yes but that's my point. It goes "Oh, I can't pick up any more herbs" and logs out, even if you have Mining bag space still.

I know you can use regular bags, but the gather-specific ones are MUCH bigger.
 
no it isn't smart enough to do this, and apparently you're not smart enough to see that using "normal" bags makes more sense. having bigger bags doesn't help you in the least if it doesn't use them. so use normal bags and let it fill them up. several times. not. rocket. science.

The larger bags are in the game for a reason, and GB should be able to take full advantage of that. If you choose the option to farm until bags are full, it should do so. I agree with the OP that this change should be implemented, because think about it... 4 x 32 slot bags = 128 slots. Quite a significant different between the normal bags. Aren't we supposed to be playing the most optimal way? Why not make the absolutely most out of every farming session? Seems that having the specific bags for the task goes along with that. THAT makes more sense.

I use two herb bags and two mining bags and have no problem with it. They are usually full at the same time.
