Each of my CCs currently has a UI. you can customise the CC to the way you want to play, cast the spells you want, or even not cast spells at all. I've been toying with the idea of having multiple settings based on environment.

With my Pally CC I use very different settings when I'm using Instance Buddy (obviously in an instance) than I do when I'm grinding / questing. Likewise in PVP, the settings I'd use would be totally different from the other two environments.

Would you (the people who use the CC) get any use out of a dynamically loaded settings file based on yoru current environment. So, if you are grinding it will load and use the PVE setting, when your battleground pops and you zone in it will automatically load the PVP settings. Likewise for instances, it will automatically load the IB settings.

Basically you setup all the settings for each environment once (using the normal UI) and each time your environment changes you don't need to do anything, its fully automated.

Just an idea, let me know what you think.

I dunno why nobody ever thought of that? :) It sounds like an awesome idea m8.
I would love to see that. :) It would optimize the bot, and make it look less "botty"

That would be most appreciated. More hands-off botting is always a good thing, :-)!

That's the way Mordd's profiles work, and it's awesome. Just wish his had IB support.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, Mord's allows you to manually load/save settings files it does not dynamically load the settings file dependant on the environment you are currently in. Correct me if I'm wrong on this.

This would be an awesome feature. I think 3 environments would be the ideal number, for instance Grinding/questing you want to focus on killing mobs before they can get close to you, so you generally pull from max range, and use whatever snares you have, and all adds have to be dealt with, but in Instances, you just need to do as much DPS as possible, and CC is secondary. And in PvP, you'd want to be using stuns/snares as often as possible, and try to counteract the enemy, especially when healing (like a shadowpriest using silence when an enemy healer is casting a big heal, or a disc priest runs to melee range and fears, shaman wind shear etc)

I'm testing this now. Its taken a bit more effort than I expect. :(

Shamwow has this, perhaps you need to talk to bobby

Ski's warlock does this? or am i mistaken? In the setup we have 3 types of choises. Grind, PVP, instances. You have to set up all 3 (or use the default) and it will use what ever you have chosen in setup. Ask him for help :)

Its not dynamically loaded.
Hmm perhaps I misunderstood then, but the settings you define in each of the tabs are used in whatever environment you are.
It will behave in a group as I configured in the raf tab and as soon as I leave that group, it will use the pve tab settings.

Do you mean that you cannot change the settings without restarting the bot ?

I think its a good idea =) especially now when IB is starting to get more and more stable
