Hi there,

just want to comment on the fact that this forum is simply overflooded with threads. there is no structure in it and it becomes very quickly confusing.

pls think about a solution. there are now way too many people registred as you might have expected a year ago. a new _clear_ forum structure must come quickly.

best regards

Hmmmm? Forum over flooded with threads? Should use the Search the forums Feature, helps out alot.
Plus i don't find the forums hard to use...

forums seem to work just like any others for me...i also have no problem just browsing through the sections as long as i know what im looking for

so you guys have never seen well organized forums, sry. the "search" function is not always helping you and anyway, it should only be used as last instance.

the forum and it?s structure is ok, but the search function is one of the worst i?ve ever seen ;)

ok well you have your main forums, and in your main forums is your sub forums. for example. Honorbuddy Forums has everything about Honorbuddy, ie plugins, guides and so on. I don't see how your having a problem >.>

Not really, just use the advance search and click on Search Single Content Type then choose from the drop box if you want to search thru posts, or topic titles..

Maybe we have never seen well organized forums. But I can assure you that you certainly have never seen disorganized forums.

The HB forums may have their challenges but I can still easily find what I'm looking for. Every single time.
The forums aren't perfect but they do work as they are now.

The only way to make them more *organized* is by splitting things up even further which means:
- More clicking until you are where you want to be
- Large lists of subforums which means a lot more scrolling
- If someone posts something in the wrong subforum by mistake, it's most likely lost forever
- A *LOT* more moderators will be needed

I know the Buddycrew is working on a redesign of the layout and I wish them all the best. But saying that it's "overflooded" or "no structure" is simply false.

OP quit wanting shit to be perfect on the internet, make your own forum and allow no-one on it. It'll be perfect.

Are you kidding me?

The search button is ALWAYS the FIRST!!! instance to choose from.

And if you dont like the Forum search, let google search this Forum. No big deal at all...

The Forum is good, splitting it up even more would make it even more confusing, just like PB is way too confusing for you. -.-

don't try to flame the OP
The search function is well, but not perfect but that's another problem.
He talked bout the Structure and he is definitly right! But all the structure is useless if the community isn't using it the right way.
I was very often very angry bout new threads in wrong categories (after each reinstall of hb i searched for a botbase called "Lazy Raider", we all know this botbase, most of us love the botbase but it is posted in the wrong sub-forum (not the mistake of bobby) cause there's no sub-forum for botbases, same for stand-alone apps like Map Gen.
The same issue for many of the plugins, the categories are good but in some cases the plugins are posted wrong there.
I have no possibillity to create a link to another post (for example i create a CC for a special ROLE not for a specific class, i would tell everyone that there's a new one but i can't without creating a thread in every possible Class-Forum, and that's not good since i have to watch 2,3 or more threads for bug reports and so on, instead of watching ONE thread that is linked in the different Classes)
And no, it is not an All-in-One (it's not a CC for all classes and would never be! so All-in-One is the wrong forum)

And that's all the OP is telling all of u, nothing more! There is no reason to flame him, he tried to be constructive!

Re-read your post, read the OP ... notice the difference? You post constructively and objectively, and his post was too general and just plain negatively instead contributing with ideas and suggestions, Buddy Team is doing the best they can with what they have. They strive to work hard for this community lets pay it little more respect with worth while posts and not just some random bs of what should or shouldnt be happening.

This post furthermore should be locked before it further gets out of hand by childish posting.

I'm not flaming him, I'm just telling him my honest opinion and that i have to disagree big time about his quote about the search function, i even tell him a way to improve the search easily.

He moaned yesterday about Multiprofile not being user friendly because there was "too much", so splitting up the Forum even more would cause the same thing for him IMO.

And what you say and what he meant are 2 different pairs of shoes. Your post is good, his is not, IMO AGAIN. ;)

No way i said he is dumb or an idiot or anything that would be related to a flame...

:)

Forum over flooded with threads, I know, I'll start another thread, what a great idea......
