I was talking to a GM about how Blizzard find botters, Basically they have a "system" that tracks every single online player on WoW. It measures how long the person has played for, what level there killing and what area they are in etc. The system banned me once, I asked what i did wrong, it was that I was "grinding" on lower levels and they found this suspicious. What I find funny is that a IRL person didn't actually okay the ban! The system just does it. When i got banned I got my account almost instantly back, this is because I said i wasn't botting. Literally that was all i said, then someone had unbanned me!
In a nutshell:
System looks at person, see's how long they've been online, see's if there grinding on lower levels. If it is for a long time. Banned. You right in letter, they apologies saying "the system sometimes gets innocent players", then you get ur account back. Boom.
